Hi everyone, this is my first post , I’m new on here however I’m not new to Primary Pertineal Cancer (ppc) I’ve had it nearly 4 years .
I’ve been through all the chemotherapy that’s listed and I have become resistant to all of them .
I’m on Tamoxifen now and last week was my second dose . The first lot that I had , had no side effects . This time the side effects were awful I slept for 3 days , I felt sick and lost my appetite.
Does anyone else take this form of chemo and if so how do you handle it ?
Tia x. ( thanks in advance )

I'm sorry I haven't heard of Tamoxifen as chemo. I took it for a while as daily tablets 3 years ago, & was told it was a type of hormone therapy, & had little trouble with side effects. Di
Hello, I am sorry you had adverse reactions to chemo. I have had peritoneal cancer for almost 5 years. I have had oxaliplatin, iricotinan, and Avastin. I am on just Avastin for maintenance. I have been on the oral drug Xeloda for a long time. I wish you all the best! Love, Pattyellen
Thank you for replying to me . From your treatments I’ve only heard of Avastin . Can I ask are you in the UK and if so are you paying privately for treatment or NHS ?
Hi , sorry to hear you have had some bad effects. My mum took Tamoxifen when here Ovarian was diagnosed inoperable. The chemotherapy was awful for her after 3 months.
I believe it’s more or a hormone therapy . Friend also had it after prostrate cancer treatment to help prevent it returning.
Lots of nice folks with advice on this site , I only came late to it, and I’m sure you know ask questions all the time . Tough as it is .
