Hi... I've been self mediating with ndt (thyroid s) since Oct last year and have felt loads better. Although I am tired and have joint pain still. I had low ferritin a while back and so supplement 3 x 200mg ferrous sulphate. Looks like I've really over done it! I also supplement Jarrow b12 5000 mg,

Propolis - CAPE
Another post prompted by Attitude67 & Charmander. Propolis is a resin that bees use to seal gaps in the hive. It may have antibacterial & antifungal properties. Supplements are widely available, but one should be aware that PCa studies have focussed on CAPE (Caffeic Acid Phenethyl Ester). Some propolis

Tamoxifen
Hi there. Just wondering about other people's experience with tamoxifen. I'm 37 & started on it in Dec. Don't have any major side effects. My oncologist said it wouldn't affect my fertility but by now my periods have almost completely disappeared. Has this happened anyone else? Thanks for taking

Help needed with mum who is unstable. I just don't know what to do!
I'm 20 and my mum Joanne is 49, she got diagnosed with breast cancer a year and half ago, which was the same time I went to university. This meant that my mum had only my younger sister to try and help her. Mum developed neutropenia sepsis which meant she had to stop chemo after 3 rounds and the sepsis

Anyone else change from Letrozole to Tamoxifen?
Hello all. I had breast cancer three years ago. Been on Letrozole since but now diagnosed with osteoporosis. Advised to come off Letrozole and start Tamoxifen. Has this happened to anyone else and what, if any, side effects did you have on the Tamoxifen? Any comments or advice welcome thank you.

Tamoxifen
Further to the conversation a couple of weeks ago regarding Tamaxofen and being pre or post menopausal, I've been to GP today, she thinks I've the through the menopause, come out the other side, and there's no point in having a blood to determine my hormone levels, so I stay on the Tamaxofen until I

It's #TopTipTuesday from our Haven visitors!
This week's tip is from Amanda.... "Make sure you obtain an NHS exemption card form from your GP. Anyone with cancer gets free medication for five years and this will cover medications such as steroids/anti emetics that you may need during treatment and also for any long term medication such as Tamoxifen

This time last year I found a lump at the age of 36. We had just moved house and area, and had 2 children age 2 and 6. Very soon I was told I had beat cancer. This was a huge shock. Mum had had it age 45 and now it had got me. I had 3 lymph nodes removed and it was in 1 and just starting to affect the

Tamoxifen
Hi I've been on Tamoxifen for 5 years and I see a lot of people change medication or stop then. I'm wondering whether to ask my GP as no one has mentioned it to me.
