Hi ladies, so not been posting for a while trying to move on ...as they say, so a little update, had my yearly Mammogram 2 weeks ago, it was absolutely normal, no problems there, however need some reassurance from all you brave ladies, started Tamoxifen probably in August or September 2018,not quite sure, so its been a out 10months, until this point no periods, but the last 2 weeks I've had some spotting in my underwear...not quite sure what to make of it, spoke to my BCN, just to be on the safe side, go a see my GP, she didn't seem to concerned, but you know what it's like, your mind goes into overdrive at every little thing, please please no scary replies, my anxiety is not good at all. Xx

Nice to hear from you and pleased that your mammogram was all ok, with regard the spotting I didn't have this problem so not able to advise but keeping everything crossed it's nothing serious and easily resolved, good luck xxxxxxx

Good Morning ...that's brilliant news about your mammogram ...I'm not on tamoxifen ..and cant comment on that ..I would just go doctors and ask, if your feeling uneasy. But I would say if your consultant doesn't seem too bothered I wouldn't be either and try to relax ....I know its a year but I also at times after two years feel uneasy ...it does get less as time goes on ...I feel a bit panicky at times too looking for signs it may have come back ...and the least ache and pain i get quite anxious , I think this is quite normal ...we have all been through a massive ordeal /shock/trauma ...Life changing experience ..full of not being sure or confident this will never happen again ....It does take that care free feeling away doesn't it ?

Try not to worry ,,easier said than done I understand ...and give yourself time, I'm sure things are ok ....Take care and be nice to you ..lots of love Jane xxx

Thanks Jane's, I will go to my GP, I'm sure everything is just fine, but like you said we do get panicky, it was my breast care nurse I spoke too, she wasn't to concerned, she just thinks it's the Tamoxifen messing around with my periods, before this all happened I used to have regular periods and very heavy ones too, so maybe my body has got so used to the Tamoxifen now 10months later my periods are showing themselves a little bit, never had any problems with my periods before Tamoxifen. I have heard this has happened to others on another forum. I would see your GP but do not worry.

Great news on your mammogram. I dont have experience of spotting as you recount but others' replies and your nurse sounds like its not unusual and nothing to worry about. Post cancer you are allowed to be anxious, the least little thing worries me. its part of the recovery its seems. Keep well xxx

Hi , I was the same as you and did nothing for about 18 months, then a quite large bleed so forced to go , all systems red .. had a hysteroscopy under a general and it was 3 polyps , no problem since and over a year of constant worrying... go to gp and get investigated xx

my friend went through all the surgery, chemo, rad etc, got her periods back after 2 years! Then got pregnant a little later. It may be just your body coming back to form.

Thanks for replying, I'm sure it's my periods coming back, I went to the GP last week, she wasnt too concerned, but if it carries on may have ultrasound just to be on the safe sound.x

yep. sometimes you just need reassurance. Getting the pesky cancer robs us of the ability to ever be completely relaxed about our health and bodies again. ever vigilant now! xx
