Sleep - I miss it so much!
Happy Easter- hope everyone is coping with this prolonged isolation- I feel pretty low at present even though I know I should be very grateful that my breast cancer was caught early and that after a lumpectomy with clear margins in October I didn’t need chemotherapy. Great news
It had been a while since I my last post. Since then I celebrated my 80th birthday, a grandson graduated from college, of my 3 granddaughters one got married, another is graduating from college and the third one is home safely from Qatar. Shortly after my pet scan in January, I was informed it looked

Post-Tamoxifen Hot Flashes at Night
I took Tamoxifen for 5 years. Have been off for 2. Still having hot flashes, but the strange part is I wake up about 30 seconds before the hot flash, sometimes I feel a quiver in my stomach, sometimes I’m cold. Then the flash starts. It’s not severe and it’s over quickly, but it’s really annoying waking

Tamoxifen
Hi , hoping everyone is managing to keep as well as they can amid this turmoil. My sympathy to those who have had treatment or ops delayed because of it- it’s a worrying time but thank goodness for this wonderful forum where we can find support and advice. Just in case anyone is in a similar position

experience w/neutropenia?!
hey all- my husband is dealing w/neutropenia. he takes casodex & tamoxifen daily. have any of you experienced this before? hematologist thinks it may be related to the tamoxifen, but isn't sure. worried about him being even more immunocompromised right now.

Told aromatase inhibitor is not working?
I have been on Arimidex for nearly two years now, and have recently been diagnosed with a new cancer in the other breast. I talked to the oncologist briefly over the phone (because of Corona my in office visit was cancelled) and he said to stop taking Arimidex because "it's not working". I was surprised

Does Tamoxifen suppress l immunity?
I read conflicting reports that ibuprofen and other anti inflammatory drugs like aspirin may suppress immunity in Corona patients. I don’t know if it’s true but it made me thinking - What about Tamoxifen? Does anyone have any information on whether it suppresses Immunity ?

3rd Cancelled FET...
I really hate this whole process... Right from the start I realised that not every transfer would end in success and I could kind of get my head round that... However I never thought I'd have so many challenges getting to a FET. My very first transfer was a natural FET, I struggled a bit with thickness

Tamoxifen side effects after treatment completed
Hi- I have been taking tamoxifen -Nolvadex brand for 3 months- despite my post menopausal status- age-66- my oncologist thought it would be best to use Tamoxifen not an aromatase inhibitor- different side effects which would cause joint pain and as I have arthritis- thought I would tolerate tamoxifen

Tamoxifen - prescription drug coverage
I'm asking my MO this week about prescribing Tamoxifen (20mg/day) for gynecomastia Issues related to ADT over the last 14 months. Since Tamoxifen is not FDA approved to treat gynecomastia, I'm wondering if it would be covered by my prescription drug plan? Has anyone using Tamoxifen for this purpose had

Constant thin uterus lining and TShaped uterus
Hi. I’ve had constant issues with my lining and have had 2 ops to remove scarring. 6.7mm is the thickest it’s ever been. We have 2 frozen blastocysts waiting to be transferred (using donor eggs) but are in a catch 22. I’m on 3 estrogen patches, 6mg of progynova and aspirin...again! I’ve been reading

Confused
My story started about a little over a half ago when I tested positive for the BRCA 2 gene. I started with mammograms and MRI every 6 months. Had one good mammogram and MRI. Then in January 2020 had a mammogram and a spot showed up. Had a biopsy and came back positive for breast cancer. Was told

Update on my sister
Many thanks to all of you who responded last time I posted a few days ago. My sister has had the results of her biopsy back and her cancer is progesterone and oestrogen positive and her2 negative. Could someone let me know what that means in terms of her treatment going forward. Last time she had BC

8 years on!
I had grade 3 HER2 positive breast cancer in my left breast and had a mastectomy and chemo and herceptine and have been on tamoxifen for 8 years. I am suffering with pain in my bionic boob and very itchy red décolletage which nothing seems to soothe and scratching doesn’t get rid of the itch. Does anyone

Letrozole for 5 or 10 years
I’ve just heard that there is a possibility that I might be prescribed tamoxifen for 5 yrs instead of continuing with letrozole which I’ve been on for 5 yrs. I think that in spite of letrozole side effects I’d rather stay on it than change. What do others think?

Possible Side Effect of Post Cancer Med
I've had bilateral breast cancer. Left side 2002 with chemo and radiation followed up by 5 years of Letrozol. Right side 2013 with only radiation followed up by 5 years of Exemestane (Aromasin). Both tumors were estrogen positive. Now they have put me on Tamoxifen for another 5 years. I'm just wondering
