Heart rate monitor for exercising with Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy
Has anyone any advice for an accurate watch type heart rate monitor that gives real time information whilst
swimming
, as well as other exercise activities. I’ve looked at the latest Apple Watch but there seems to be conflicting information as to it’s accuracy in water.

Swimming with the monsters
Looking at my 5 year old reflection between the rippling waves of the water as I smile and take that dive! The dive we’ve all experienced trying to go deep enough to touch the sand at the very bottom and make it back up in time. Risk living my 5 year old self would smirk and say. Gliding through the

Exercise, cancer and Dementia
Over 65 yr olds recommended 5 x 30 mins of moderate exercise / week (hill walking, leisurely bike ride,
swimming
, exercise class etc) plus 3 x a week weight training I suspect this was partly to prod my conscience and get me to do more exercise, but non the less a 30% reduction in disease

I'm getting back into a bit of exercise (yoga,
swimming
). I feel like I could do a lot more, but I'm going real easy on myself.

My journey with COPD part 4
Now this hotel had a rather nice looking pool and as I haven’t been able to go
swimming
since our last holiday in Spain in 2017 I wondered if I could manage it. I spoke with reception and explained my breathing problem and they were happy to do what I needed to do.

Calories
I plan to factor in
swimming
3x a week for 30 minutes and then 10,000 steps a day minimum walking to assist with this loss. Generally pretty active with my baby and out and about too! Any advice from what worked for anyone when starting out using the nhs guide would be appreciated! Xx

Should I do week 6 again from run 1?
And the this evening I've been
swimming
. So I kinda rested it but still used it if you know what I mean lol. However I'm a little dubious about going straight into 25 mins running? Wondering if it might feel fine but hurt after?

Move forward or start again...
I’m overweight and have never really exercised regularly ( despite trying to go
swimming
once a week, walking dogs and having a pretty active job! ). I’ve just finished my last run for the week and really struggled. More than the first two runs. I’m thinking of re doing these runs before moving on.

Soon to start week 9!
I've never enjoyed exercise classes and although I go
swimming
once a week it's just 'alright'. I don't have the urge or wish to do more like with running. Yesterday I managed to run before the snow hit and I just loved the cool (cold?) air.

Here it goes again
I can normally battle my way through, I'm always so tired I generally sleep easily and raising two children alone will do that to you, but at these times I just can't, I can't get comfy, my head is
swimming
with everything I'm worrying about and I feel a little hopeless.

Wondering if anyone else experiences this with excercise?
However I have lost 9st 2lbs in the last two years and have began to excercise regards for the last six months about 4/5 times a week,
swimming
and weights. I still have a few stone to go tho.

So much useful information...
I was full of energy, getting through the day without having to nap and minor ailments just disappeared e.g. my one knee, injured from
swimming
, used to be so stiff when I woke in the mornings.

Total beginner! 🏃♀️
I also took up
swimming
over a year ago to try and increase my fitness levels, it worked but now I need to up the ante. Between stopping smoking, hitting my 30’s and finding a happy relationship the weight has slowly crept on!

I finally understand the rest days!
I still do other exercise,
swimming
once a week and aerobics and some walking (not running) on my treadmill. The aerobics is a high-intensity 15 mins home session and really helps strengthen my core. And weird thing?
