Stabbing headache.. GCA? Update
I phoned the
surgery
and had a call back from the "advanced practitioner" within 15 minutes. She asked all the right questions and arranged an appointment with my GP for 2 hours later. GP is of the opinion that I have a trapped nerve.

Scan shows spreading despite chemo but surgery going ahead..confused đ€
I will call again next week but meantime wondered if anyone can throw light on this đ€ My tumour has shrunk (she didnt know how much) and confirmed
surgery
will go ahead 7 March. That is good news, at least they are operating.

sun exposure
hi, does anyone have any insight or tips relating to sun exposure post open heart
surgery
? I had a replacement valve in the Spring and all is going well but when we venture abroad in August I know Iâll need to be careful.

I'm hoping to have minimally invasive
surgery
but don't know if it will be possible. Apparently, they can try minimally invasive, but have a team ready to "crack" the ribs if necessary. Any experience?

Tocilizumab and heartburn
Iâm finally back on Tocilizumab after an ankle replacement, 2 bouts of C-diff, a chest infection and minor
surgery
for an ingrowing toenail. Itâs been a bad 3 months and my RA has been flaring the whole time with little I could take other than paracetamol.

should I start interferon?
I received a package from the hospital via my
surgery
with the pre- filled syringes. Iâm in a complete quandary now as Iâm unsure about proceeding as I have an added complication. I was put on statins four/ five months ago because of a slightly raised cholesterol test.

Following further (failed) spinal
surgery
in 2020, I was referred back to another Lincolnshire PC (Connect Health). As they only operated via phone calls, I contacted the then CCB who kindly arranged for me to see a âClinicianâ at our GP

Depression
I was working before I had knee
surgery
and being at work helped occupy my mind, but I'm limited and now for about 3 years I've been looking for work that I can do but unfortunately I've been blacklisted and I can't get a job.

Chest Twinges after ASD closure?
I am on day 4 after a ASD closure using the wonder of key hole
surgery
. I am doing fine aside from the fatigue of the general anaesthetic but I am experiencing some funny twinges in my heart. I guess thatâs the organ getting used to the foreign device?

Well I made it to 27 months of upsa testing after my
surgery
and went from <0.01 to my first detectable of 0.01. Donât know what this means but I guess the next few upsa tests will be telling. Maybe a lab variation maybe not.

post-op incisions
Hi everyone, I had
surgery
(ovarian cystectomy & excision of endometriosis) on 18/02/24 One of my wounds seems to be open. I feel âfobbed offâ by doctors who state it will close on its own. Did anyone elseâs incisions look like this? Did they heal okay?

It causes redness, facial peeling and supposedly will ultimately prevent future moh's
surgery
. Are there any contraindications to those with CLL? I am wondering if my dermo is just tired of freezing and taking biopsies of areas of my face and neck every 3 to 4 months !!

We talked about bariatric
surgery
and the snafu I went through and he said he would talk to my Nephrologist about it. He seemed to say that if I lost weight, I would get a transplant faster.
