I’m due to be admitted for hand surgery and have to stop taking warfarin 5 days prior to admission. I’ve asked to be bridged and have been prescribed 5 syringes of clexane however I’m struggling to find out how long after my 2mg warfarin dose on Sunday evening, I can administer my clexane.

Doctor hasn't suggested any Varicocele repair, Any embolization or surgery required? 3. How bad is my DFI? Reading different articles is confusing me, Any Suggestions?

So I get given an appointment with a clinical pharmacist at the surgery (must be a new thing) who asked if had side effects but I couldn’t recall anything specific / new. Pharmacist wanted me to have blood test to see if any issues as result of my mistake.

Hello all, just had a call from my Hospital informing me that my total knee replacement surgery is in 2 WEEKSAs I have Lymphoedema in both legs - left leg is worse. Surgery is on right knee.

I'm worried as I've never had surgery and worried surgery will lead to other complications or that I'll wake up from surgery and find they've removed something other than the tubes. I know I'm probably being over anxious.

Consultant says to decide whether to do RAI a second time or opt for surgery. I don't fancy surgery but struggling to understand why RAI has failed and whether it'll work second time.... thank you in advance.

I had left lower lobe reduction surgery at St Barts in London 2022 which was to a degree successful . But over the last year my health has declined rapidly so much so that I now have carerer for most of the day ❤️‍🩹👍🏼but this episode of acute respiratory acidosis was a bit of a shocker !!!

It was my mental health cleanser. 3 years since that surgery and even though i have maintained a healthy diet and lifestyle genetics dealt me a second blow. I have CHD so have just had a heart stent fitted.

Will I still be able to go ahead with the surgery and general anesthesia? Really scared now that I will die on the table!

As I’ve never had surgery, and I have nothing to compare it too or know no one directly who’s had this, I’m not sure what to do. I still feel bad but not bad enough to be in bed constantly, but walking and functioning ‘normally’ is so exhausting.

I suffered much pain and in two days I am having surgery. I read somewhere that Hydroxy does that. Any idea about it? I am thinking of changing to Besremi as I have enlarged spleen and liver and I also have saturation. I need to see the haematologist.

He said that I was like 90% of people who think they have pudendal nerve compression, but in reality don't--it's tight pelvic floor muscles acting on it, but not fully compressing it, so as to require surgery or other. Hope this helps others. Botox may be your answer too.

I had actually ran out a few days before my surgery, which he said lucky I had as it stops pain relief from working and said that if I had still been on it, he would have had to cancel my surgery. So I went through surgery and then as I was waking up in recovery, my God. The pain. It was so bad.

do I take prednisone after surgery since I will be fasting overnight? How long do I have to wait until I can bend over? Does it take longer to heal with prednisone? I'm on 3 mg.

I’m 66, dealing with PCa for 6 years, have had surgery and radiation 2x. Things were quiet for a year and a half. After a rapid rise in psa this spring, the docs at Duke put me on Lupron and Xtandi. The three month check up shows t level is down to 18, psa is 0.23, a decline of 96.5%.

Diagnosed eight weeks ago underactive thyroid even though I had no symptoms. 25mg given and 12 days later reduced to 12.5 as I was so ill. 4 weeks later I was bedridden, severe headaches and unable to urinate so took myself off them as Surgery would not respond.

Yesterday I was like yup having the surgery. Now I’m like is it worth trying the pill or have the surgery? As I am thinking being 35 is it just my hormones going through another change in life or what. Any advice will be much appreciated 🤗
