on your “good” side?

Surgery cancelled
So today should have been my op and I was more than ready for cancellation, not a big deal to be honest. What got me was the reason, we all expect lack of ICU bed, lack of doctors, emergency admission, strikes etc. What surprised me was after pre-op appt tests, scans, video of what to expect I get told

Had surgery
I have finally been listened to by surgeon and had a decompression procedure. It has eased the tugging pulling electric zapping sensations in my leg off quite a bit...( the mri showed L5 S1 compressing the nerve. It is still there but I can live with it at the moment. He said if it doesn't resolve totally

Surgery Today!
I’m having spinal
surgery
today in my neck. So glad it’s finally happening but rather nervous too. I have cervical stenosis and myelopathy so I’m hoping this operation will stop the progression of spinal cord damage 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻. Has anyone else had this happen.

Post surgery
I am 3 weeks after open heart
surgery
to repair my mitral valve. I am still wearing compression socks but for the last 3 days one of my ankles has been swallen. Is this normal weeks after
surgery
? Getting a GP appointment is almost impossible so wanted to know if anyone else experienced this.

Pacemaker surgery
Hello everyone I am likely to be having a pacemaker fitting soon and the idea of the
surgery
is really freaking me out. I think it's because it's done under local anaesthetic and so I'll see them doing it. For people that have had the
surgery
, how was it and how did you feel afterwards?

cataract Surgery
I needed eye
surgery
to remove cataracts from both eyes, my first eye
surgery
was in April 2022, I then had to wait for clear vision in eye after
surgery
before the cataract in my second eye was removed.

KNEE SURGERY?
High folks, went to see my consultant a few days ago, asked when I was getting my 1st
surgery
and we discovered I am NOT on the waiting list. This is apparently due to a CLERICAL ERROR with the orthopedic department.

Surgery soon
Hello everyone,I have my
surgery
booked for late Feb to investigate for endo. I will be 45 at the end of this month. I am in pain most days with my left ovary and I was diagnosed with PCOS when I was in my mid twenties, and had two cysts removed from my left ovary in 2013 and then again in 2019.

Hi, I had laparoscopy
surgery
earlier this week. I am terrified to be put asleep and all invasiveness of
surgery
. It was in all honesty fine, I just kept a clear mind.

Surgery etc.
Anyway, I've had 6 rounds of intensive chemo as consultant wanted to contain the cancer before
surgery
. I managed chemo okay with a few issues. Proliferal neuropathy in fingers and feet but got through it reasonably well. My CA125 levels dropped to 27 and she said the cancer had shrunk.

RLS and surgery
I am scheduled for hip replacement
surgery
in the near future. Recently I have seen several posts stating that any
surgery
will cause increased RLS . Honestly, I am now very concerned and anxious about this. Because I take Belbuca, I will not be able to use opioids post-op.

Surgery or not.
The 2 being radioactive iodine and
surgery
. Her opinion being
surgery
was the best one for my age(48) even with the risks and even with having to take a pill then forever. I was diagnosed with Graves a year ago and hospitalised with symptoms.

Periods after surgery
Hi ladies, I had

surgery before chemo
hi all My mums been diagnosed stage 3 HGSC - and the treatment plan has been determined to be
surgery
before chemo. My understanding was that chemo first was preferable - has anyone else had it in this order? (know I should trust the doctors but am overthinking a bit here!
