Hi Guilane

Is this your first surgery or a recurrence? My initial surgery was on a 42 x 30 cm tumour plus removal of uterus, ovaries, fallopian tubes, cervix, omentum, biopsies of peritoneum and lymph nodes.

I was terrified prior to surgery but had been breathless, had difficulty walking, abdominal and back ache, frequent urination, nausea and other symptoms. I felt a lot better immediately after surgery.

I had surgery on a 12x12cm tumour had total hysterectomy lymph node removed also 10 months ago feel absolutely fine now. Was petrified of having such a big surgery but was absolutely fine after surgery the consultants are brilliant at what they do. XX

Hi Guilane, yes my tumour was 20cm when taken out during hysterectomy, it had grown from 8cm to that size in 6 months and I couldn’t actually feel it in my tummy!

Hi.. I had a major surgery this year which was 25.20 cm tumour with removal of 2 ovaries, uterus, 2 fallopy tubes, periteneum, some bowel tissues and cervix. After the biopsy, they found out that's borderliner tumour. The blood test for tumour markers result was normal evethough I had a giant tumour in my abdomen.Prior the surgery, my stomach had been breathless, fatigue, bloated, sometime passed out, very nausea and sick a lot. My tumour got burst a week prior the surgery which made me in so painful, then I went to A&E prior the surgery so they gave me morphin through intravenous.

After the operation, I am feeling better, however I got adhesions unfortunately so my pain underneath the scar/stitching hasn't gone away yet. I am still tired easily and taking pain reliefs because the adhesions.

Hi Guilane, I had a 20 cm tumour removed, together with ovaries, fallopian tubes, uterus, pelvic lymph nodes and omentum. I was scared before surgery and ended up with an open wound for a year. I couldn’t have chemo because of this, but I’m still here and have been NED since surgery 2 1/2 years ago.

Hi My ovarian tumour was 15 x 12 X 10 or something like that. I did have a big incision but my surgeon closed it up as soon as he could and did "the rest" via little laparoscopic incisions so I could recover faster. I was terrified but 5 weeks later feel so much better even tho tired, I'll take tired over how I felt before and hope the chemo works once it starts (soon). I wish you the very best, you are most likely much stronger than you think lady 💪♀️❤️
