Not run for 2 weeks but couldn’t resist this morning.wk8r1✔️
Well I was going to try to wait until Monday’s physio session but this morning I just couldn’t resist the little patch of sunshine. And I tried out a friends advice. She has also been suffering with one sore hip and her dad asked her if she always did the same route. She said usually and he said maybe

Magnesium
When I read Carolyn Dean's book The Magnesium Miracle, it was with an eye to osteoporosis and I didn't really pay much attention to magnesium's corrective role even in inflammation and other disorders. Now I'm reading the 3rd edition (read 2nd edition before) and although I'm not far into it I think

continuing low folate levels
Hi I have had under active thyroid for about 10 years. In July last year I was treated for low folate and ferretin levels. My hb was fine. Anyway, I took the folic acid for 3 months and the ferrous sulphate for 6 months. I finished the folic acid about 3 months ago. I have had a call from the dr tonight

Help for neuropathy in foot
Can anyone give me ideas on how I can help the neuropathy in my foot? I have trapped nerves in my back which causes more problems in my foot than anywhere else and was diagnosed with neuropathy a few years ago. I usually only experience cramps in my toes and general pain and tingling in my foot.

So I finally got my blood results. Dr hadn’t added transferrin saturation to the test but I managed to get the nurse to add it when I went in for the bloods. Ferritin 91 Transferrin saturation 19.9 Now on 400mg of iron daily & a referral to movement clinic. Are there likely to be options to help me get

Getting off Gabapentin
Has anyone here found that Gabapentin loses its effectiveness? When I started taking gabapentin before my infusion and it really did help. It stopped my legs and helped me sleep. Now, I don’t think it is working and I want off of gabapentin When I started, I quickly went up to 1800mg a day, gabapentin

SOS - accident - not thyroid related
Yesterday my husband fell (there was a pothole) crossing the road and pulled me down with him. He is perfectly ok apart from a grazed finger, but I fell on my right side and the side of both knees. We were very near our medical centre, so went in and were seen by a nurse. She bathed and dressed my knees

Endo Pain
My pain is horrendous - severe daily pain. I honestly don’t even know how I function I am awaiting my third laparoscopic excision surgery and the consultant said regular surgery may need to happen. Also being tested for PCOS as a recent ultra sound showed signs of that I am currently being weaned off

Day 4 - Should I remove this part of the dressing?
Today I have removed the dressing as it was starting to feel a bit twitchy. I bathed in Epsom salts and removed the outer dressing and the blue gauze underneath it with no problems. However I’m left with a small bit of dressing tight around the ring (pic included). I’m not sure if I should remove

Ferritin Facts please!
Hi all, I wondered if anyone could please point me in the right direction. After a blood test showing my ferritin level to be 74 whilst on 200mg prescription ferrous sulphate daily a different GP has advised I no longer need to take this (whilst continuing to prescribe B12 injections and folate). I remember

Hypophosphatasia
Recently had a number of blood tests. One test which has been upper end of low for about 4 years is alkaline phosphatase. Normal range, 46-116 U/L. My results were 2016: 39; 2017: 29; 2018: 32; 2019: 40. I've never had any of the tooth or bone abnormalities generally associated with hypophosphatasia,

Not sure I should even be posting in this group now ☹️🙄
Well I have not run since October 16th now. First there was the nasty virus and chest infection that would not clear - over 7 weeks!!! And then the niggly hip pain that has been on and off since the summer but has got steadily worse not better. I’d had exercises to do - no better, painkillers-no help

New member, question about iron and rls
Hello, hope someone can help me, I've been given ferrous sulfate tablets 200mg three times a day as I have rls symptoms and a ferritin level of 27. I was just wondering how long it takes on these tablets for ferritin levels to show any improvement and to get to the recommended level needed to improve
