Can anyone give me ideas on how I can help the neuropathy in my foot?
I have trapped nerves in my back which causes more problems in my foot than anywhere else and was diagnosed with neuropathy a few years ago. I usually only experience cramps in my toes and general pain and tingling in my foot.
Just recently it has been much worse and I had a couple of weeks off work before Christmas and have been off for over 2 weeks now. It feels when it is at its worst that a car has run over the front half of my foot and that the tyre is still sitting on my squashed foot. At its best, it just feels as though someone is stood on my foot in really big Mens boots and the heel of the boot is squashing the front section of foot.
I take amitryptaline everyday anyway and have diazepam for when my foot is going into cramps. I’m also soaking my foot with Epsom salts daily at the moment but nothing seems to be easing ☹️
So does anyone have any other tricks up their sleeve to help me tell it to ‘sod off and let me get back to normal’ please?

Hi Lullabelle, sorry to hear about your situation. Mine is similar but I'm farther down the road. It was set in motion by an accident which inflicted a crushing blow to the front of both feet which required a surgeon to re-attach the top of one of my big toes, subsequently my lifestyle took over and advanced the disease to encompass both feet, ankles and hands. I have been on the drug trail (purchased on the street Percocet's and Bromazopam, its a different story that I had to go that route). Had no success short of being in the hospital for addiction treatment. That's where I quit drinking and bought into a Vitamin and Amino acid regimen. So far my hands are in remission and I'm hoping with time the ankles and feet will follow. Treatment is no alcohol, Vitamins = Bg, B12, Folic acid, D3+ and general age 55+ supplement and topping up all my amino acids and enzymes like L-arginine, L- lysine, all the other 7) and get my diet under control. I have to cut down on sugar, it was hiding in the alcohol). I'm on the cusp of a few wins but too early to tell that it was a breakthrough,
