OUCHIEEEEE! Bartholin cyst

Hey

So about 2 weeks ago i noticed a little lump in the nether regions when i went to toilet but it didnt hurt. Then last week i woke at 2 in morning in agony ...

On inspection the lump had doubled in size and i was all swollen and red , went to dr he gave me fluxocillin told me shower or sitz bath 4-5 time a day. Epsom salts.

So week and bit on and the swelling gone around it and it now pea size not grape size but it is still driving me mad. Im doing what he said plus witch hazel and lots of water but it wont go down it like the duct is still blocked ...

Any ideas???

I’ve had one of these! I applied a hot washcloth until it cooled down lots of times for about 20 mins. Use as hot water as you can stand (not boiling!) and hold like a compress. Then keep reheating and reapply. That will draw out the blockage. It worked for me. After it burst (sorry, gross!) I applied witch hazel.

Oh man it painful.. had a week... week of antibiotics but nothing still there .. it like a hard pee now...

how long did it take for ur to go? It just doesnt seem to b unblocking

After it burst it was sore for a day then healed up. I had it for a few days before I tried the compress method and it was really sore!

Hi I have just come across your comments on Bartholins cysts. I had a couple of these when in my twenties, one after another. Possibly due to the fact the first one wasn't dealt to properly in the first place. I ended up having surgery to remove them and have not had any problems since the second surgery ever. They needed to be removed otherwise I would have had issues forever I believe.

Oh they got it wrong it wasnt a batholin cyst it was just a cyst that happened to come up when they put me on pop pill, they think it was due to hormones?

I came of it is gone now... still bit sore in that are but ok.

Thankgod u git surgery as they are not nice by all accounts.. anything abnormal down there is not
