Private Blood results
I have been on 75mcg of Levothyroxine now for 4 weeks, but still have a majority of the symptoms so I decided to do a private test through medichecks as my doctors will not test for Ft4 or 3. My lasts results I posted was TSH 1.55 on 50mcg. The private results have come back as: TSH 0.431 (0.27 - 4.20

Endo appt on Thursday - new blood test results after 9 months on Erfa (it was going so well...)
I was diagnosed with an underactive thyorid in 2008. After being on levothyroxine for years, I paid to see a private endocrinologist and switched to Erfa (NDT) in Feb 2016. Had last load of blood tests in May and was feeling pretty good, taking 120 mg of Erfa a day. Now am due for a six-month check-up

Grounding yourself is important
What is Grounding and How Do I Ground Myself? Grounding is an ancient activity that spreads through universal cultures, traditions and spiritual practices over hundreds of years. It is simply reconnecting and realigning out energies with the Earth. When we allow our body to connect with the Earth,

Living With Depression and Associated Mental Health Issues
I have managed very well for most of my life to live with Depression with very little mental health input (just a considerable amount of those nasty little tablets that have horrific side effects) I know where my Depression came from. Recognise Trigger points, have adopted an Ayavedic and totall Organic

I did it! Week 8 run 3...at last
My run this evening was my best yet, I am truly amazed. It has taken me forever to get this far, as I've had to slow down to just 2 runs a week since the longer runs started.. I've also had a few runs where I ve not been able to compete the full time. For example, on Monday night I was only able to

New private blood results contradict the ones from gps. Shall I tell doctor?
Hello, I just got the results from the blood tests I did in Italy while visiting my family, 10 days after the ones I posted about recently were done. I did these tests because I like to know what my T3 is, but also I have an appointment booked in December with a private endo also in Italy who is trained

Can I take Iron tablets with a ferritin level of 40 (range 13.0 - 150.0)?
Hello, I feel very tired and breathless, struggle with memory and concentration and need to sleep a lot. I was prescribed Ferrous Sulphate last year when my Ferritin was 25 (range was 10-284), so I doubt the doctor would prescribe again as it looks better also given the different range. I am already

An Update
Again ... (3rd post of the day) I spoke too soon when I posted "New Doctor Tomorrow" earlier today. A couple hours later and my shoulder and neck were stiff and hurting. I had already taken my 30 mg dose so I took 10 more, rested for a couple of hours and still had stiffness and pain however not as bad

Long term Abscess
Hi Everyone, I have an abscess on the left cheek of my posterior (bottom), close to the middle and just above the bottom on my spine. it has been quite large and sore, measuring 5cm x 1cm. It is hard, deep and red but without an external point. By using magnesium sulphate I have managed to "rupture"

Iron poisoning?
Hi all, I don't have hypothyroidism but my thyroid is beginning to struggle (see previous posts) and as a result I am having absorption issues. I was anaemic in March and had a ferritin level of 8. I posted my last blood test results 8 days ago as my ferritin and B12 had dropped by over half in about

Advice on B12 levels following on from blood tests
Hi, I was referred over to this forum from the very helpful people on the thyroid forums. I had major surgery earlier in the year, including a blood transfusion, and since then have been struggling a bit with hair loss and inability to lose weight despite diet and exercise (which is why I suspected
