Having had a vasectomy figure in, if at all, in fighting PC?
My latest MO mentioned in passing that having had a vasectomy was a favorable thing. Had mine about 50 years ago. Could that explain why PC didn't hit me until last year when I was 82?

Post surgical nerve pain issues?
I'm wondering if anyone has had issues with nerve pain following mastectomy surgery? I had a bilateral mastectomy 4 month ago had really bad nerve pain after the surgical drugs wore off. After 6 weeks I had a nerve block done. It really helped for quite a while but now I am having issues - tightness

Gall bladder removal
I saw a consultant today who said that I needed my gall bladder removed, however I was at greater risk because of having pbc. He explained that there is a risk with post operative bile duct leaks. Has anyone else heard of this?

Combining medications/effects post surgery/meds not as effective
Hello, in the last month the Temgesic has not been as effective in controlling my RLS. This could be due to one month ago undergoing surgery. I was told just before xmas that I had breast cancer. Does having an Endometrioma mean I have Endometriosis?
After several years of fertility investigations I have had multiple MRI’s, ultrasound scans, numerous blood tests not to mention the debilitating pain I have been in. Finally had surgery two wks ago. I had a laparoscopy, ovarian cystectomy and a myomectomy to remove a fibroid. Just received the results

Good Scan/Bad Scan/A Little Surgery
Well...my last scan Jan 25 showed my lungs and all organs clear. Woo hoo!! However, I have 2 lymph nodes on the same side as my mastectomy that are around 1 cm each. I’m having surgery in the morning to remove those. Once they are out I won’t have any tumors!!! It’s been 2 years and 4 months since my

Greetings to everyone. I Am reading posts everyday and recognise that everyone has a different story to tell and a wealth of experience to share. Hi everyone, I know there’s lots in here already and I’ll go back and read when my brains stopped whirring but I just got a call with a cancellation and am booked in for my laparoscopy and cystectomy for Thursday 11th March next week! I’m now having an absolute spiral that I haven’t prepared, don’t

Which department do I go to for a deformed sternum?
I am 64 years of age, have epilepsy, but it is my deformed sternum, about an inch higher on my left hand side of my chest, born with it, about 75% capability of normal breathing because of it. One of the ribs dislocates horizontally when I sit down, and get up. All my ribs have broken at various times

CT scan
Not me, a member of my family has been diagnosed with breast cancer for a 2nd time. Not sure what type. All I know it the lump is a centimetre, has come from a duct. She has been offered a lumpectomy with radiotherapy or 2nd mastectomy with medication for five years. I’m worried now though as she has

HIPEC
Has anyone here had, or knows of someone, that has had HIPEC for metastasised stomach cancer? My husband has one metastatic tumour 4 yrs after his gastrectomy. It is in an awkward position and 6 months of standard chemo has had little effect and they’ve had to lower the dose of radiotherapy for fear

Anyone on Ibrance have lowering haemoglobin and rising liver enzyme AST? Concerned it may be cancer in marrow....
Hi all I've been on Ibrance and Letrozole since MBC diagnosis in August 2019 to bones and marrow (after primary bilateral mastectomy, immediate lat dorsi reconstruction, chemo, rads, and Herceptin in 2010). Stable CT scans since, but now AST liver enzyme rising, my Ferritin (which is odd with low haemoglobin

Need your opinion
I always try to be upbeat about my posts. Don't post often, but enjoy reading about the strength of all of you warriors. I was diagnosed in 2016 with a very small cancer in left breast. Had lumpectomy and 21 rounds of left breast radiation. Like so many, I thought I was done. I was told recurrence

Hi! I'm new to the forum, I've come across it when I looked for advice and information on what is available to me in Northern Ireland. When I met my partner he had already gone through with vasectomy procedure having had a child from his previous relationship. We were hoping we could get an NHS funded
