Returning to work
I had a mastectomy in March and do not need further treatment. Is it wise to return to my part time clerical job while I still have swelling and stinging under my arm. I am not eligible for SSP due to insufficient contributions and have used my CSP so am now a 'kept' woman. I know the advice is always

LETROZOLE
Hi all, I had surgery last December I had a mastectomy with immediate reconstruction. I didn't require chemotherapy nor radiotherapy and feel very fortunate. My tumour was receptive to oestrogen so I was put on LETROZOLE , my first 'brand' gave me terrible joint pain. I am taking a different brand now

Feeling down a few weeks after the mastectomy and not ready to go back to work
I was diagnosed at the beginning of May after finding a lumpy area in my breast. I had a single mastectomy on the 23rd May. I was diagnosed with invasive ductual cancer. The consultant told me that the treatment should be chemotherapy followed by radiotherapy. After the mastectomy the results from

Another shock
I have been unable to post due to being very poorly since before Christmas. I had a mastectomy before Christmas and was told everything was o.k. But January this year the pain in my chest and back was getting so bad I thought the operation had upset the vasculitis and thought it would settled. My GP

Results good for first time!
Went to see the doc on Friday and finally seeing my lifestyle changes paying off, have now lost 4 1/2 stone (2 still to go but getting there), blood sugars better than they have ever been and even exercising and to be honest in a lot of ways have not felt so good for a long time. Bladder Removal Surgery in Las Vegas
I am currently undergoing chemotherapy treatment for muscle invasive bladder cancer. Upon completion of chemo, I will need to have my bladder removed. I have decided to go with ileal conduit (stoma with bag for life) surgery rather than a neo-bladder construction. My oncologist has recommended I go

Jaccuzzi or not?
I had a mastectomy 3 months ago and am due to go on my annual holiday. What is the advice re jacuzzis? I have been advised that saunas/steamrooms are out of bounds but wondered if it is ok to sit waist deep in a jacuzzi? It is one of my few holiday pleasures but I don't want to be silly and invite

Rib pain months after radiotherapy
Evening all, just wondering whether anyone else has/is experiencing any random pains, I say random but think entirely related to radiotherapy. On my right side, mastectomy side, I've been getting discomfort when stretching at bottom of ribs, there's nothing to see, no marks or swelling. Any shared experiences

Low follicles count and Size!
So I was sort of breezing through the process with a positive and laid back attitude. I had seen a couple of friends experience the highs and lows, but I thought if I was relatively relaxed I would be in better place for things to work. I have no known fertility issues but I managed to marry an older

Saw my surgeon today....
Had appointment this morning, not seen my surgeon since my last inflating of expander in January, she examined me and was really pleased with how my mastectomy scar looks after having had radiotherapy, she said it looks like we've got away with it, although radiotherapy is the gift that keeps on giving

Hello
I have been diagnosed with stage 2b high grade serous carcinoma, and I'm bricking it ! Feel positive most of the time and then time for bed and my brain wakes up! Thinking of so many things I end up on the Internet ( last night until 4am 😳) Don't want to freak family and friends out with my worrying

Hi, I had a partial oesophagectomy and partial gastrectomy just over 2 years ago. I did have a CT scan and have a PET scan on Monday and they
