Incontinence
Hi lovely ladies. Just a quick question. Have any of you had trouble with incontinence and is it part of things we have to put up with after having surgery? Best wishes to everyone. x

Looking for typical Prednisone reduction schedule new on Actemra
Haven't been around much lately. This has probably been the worst, six months of my seven years with pmr and final recent eye surgery for double vision 7.8 Have spent the last six months deciding on starting Actemra at the urging of my rheumatologist. Round and round with insurance (U.S.) appeal, re-submission

Hello, I have been told I have high blood pressure (168 / 107) in a routine health check. The nurse recommended I contact my doctor. completely numb and don’t know what to do - heartbeat stopped
I can’t believe I’m writing this, I thought I’d be telling my family good news today instead. I went for a scan at 7+4 and the baby had no heartbeat and stopped growing at 7 weeks. I have only 2 really low grade embryos frozen and would like to transfer as soon as I can. I’m not expecting them to work

Another Vaccine Dilemma! To have, or not to have a Tetanus Booster.
I've previously learnt on here that live vaccines are not recommended whilst on long term steroid medication, and that in many situations, alternative vaccines are available... as with the shingles vaccination program. Well, yesterday, whilst trimming my Wisteria, I accidentally pruned the tip of my

I’ve just been offered a respiratory syncytial vaccine through my surgery. Not heard of it. Rolling it out initially for aged group 75 and 79. Anyone else heard of it?

Introducing myself
Hi Brain Tumour Charity community It seems I've resisted sharing about myself and my journey. So, this is a first step to open up and connect with this community. In April, I blacked out on a Friday afternoon and woke up with bruises on my back, arm and chin. That led to 12 hours in A&E, getting

Pre op reflux and gastric sleeve.
hi. This is my first post so please bear with me. I’m 53, 5ft 3 and 93kg and have just been put on the list for a gastric sleeve. I’m just within the nhs criteria for surgery but the consultant is keen to do it as I have complex health problems (heart failure, sleep apnoea, stroke, under active thyroid

Can anyone help with a letter please.
Just returned home after visit to physiotherapist and I am afraid I let her have both barrels! I am sick to death of hearing my daily routine is the’wrong kind’ of exercise! By the end of each day I feel I am dying and cannot move another muscle let alone stand at the kitchen sink throwing my legs

Sotalol
Has anyone changed their dose instructions ? I was originally prescribed Sotalol 40mg in morning and 40mg in evening. It's making me feel like a tired, worn out old zombie from the land of the living dead, on the other hand BP and HR are brilliant. Am planning to speak to my Surgery Pharmacist about

NHS Health Check Drives
Had hypothyroidism for 20 years and pre-diabetes for about 12 years which I've managed to keep under control, touch wood. Now my GP surgery has insisted I attend a 60 Day Care Plan or some rubbish probably driven by Government bonuses as they've never batted an eyelid about test results until now and

When should we worry about symptoms changing?
Hey everyone, first post here and I’m just curious about your thoughts before I bother my nurse. She has recommended this page in the past. Sorry it’s so long but wanted to give a quick background. I had surgery to partially remove a tumour last year, as it was pushing on my brainstem. Weirdly enough

Can GP surgeries in Norfolk, UK, prescribe generic Methylphenidate medication for adult ADHD?
To address the ongoing shortage of Methylphenidate medications, my psychiatrist asked my GP surgery to prescribe generic medication instead of a particular brand. Now they told me that the IT system only allows them to prescribe brands, but not generics. I should name the brand currently available
