Can GP surgeries in Norfolk, UK, prescribe generic Methylphenidate medication for adult ADHD?
To address the ongoing shortage of Methylphenidate medications, my psychiatrist asked my GP surgery to prescribe generic medication instead of a particular brand. Now they told me that the IT system only allows them to prescribe brands, but not generics. I should name the brand currently available

Just an offload really: I woke up today (AA day) and decided not to take it. I’ve just been reading previous posts on here and ive found it pretty scary to read that once stopping taking it, it can stay in your system for 10 yrs. That’s frightening stuff. I was diagnosed over the phone withPMR

Hello, I’m new to this site and found it after doing some worried googling after my surgery and reading through some of the posts on here has helped me calm right down. My first question is about the wound. I have what I think is a clot? on the underside and my GP told me this is normal and that it

Penile adhesion or Penile Skin bridge
After carefully researching more about my condition, I have come to the conclusion that I am currently suffering from Penile adhesions. This usually happens when a) improper circumcision b) skin isn't pulled back after a circumcision. This required a Penile adhesion surgery to correct itself. Could

Lump in throat following hemithyroidectomy
Hello all,I wake up in the morning with a strong sensation of a lump at the base of my throat. As I had surgery in December 23 I was expecting some discomfort for a while but it's not improving. It is worse in the morning then fades somewhat during the day but never fully goes away. I would like to speak

Transplanted on Tuesday
My original transplant was in 1996 with my sister being the donor. In March of 2023 I got the bad version of Covid and damaged this wonderful gift. On August 6, 2024 my granddaughter donated a kidney to me. I’ve been blessed to receive the gift of life twice. The surgery honeymoon is over and my body

The Queen is ready!
Hi everyone. It has been a while but I'm still here just haven't had time to get on and make a post. My latest thing is a few weeks ago I found out my parathyroid is acting up so the doctor put me on cincalet to see if it will help me. He did mention that surgery may have to happen if it doesn't adjust

recently diagnosed with 3.5cm acoustic neuroma
Hello, I’m new here 😀 in July 2024, I was diagnosed with a 3.5cm Acoustic Neuroma after having some CT scans at the hospital. I noticed my hearing was going in my right ear a couple of years ago, and thought nothing of it, until now. The ringing, buzzing and sounds of crickets is getting slightly worse
