Levels of acceptable pain
After 2 years of taking prednisone with 2 different consultants and yoyoing around my latest consultant is trying to get me down to lower levels. I am currently tapering from 12.5 to 10 with 11.25 in between. Here in Spain the smallest tablet is 2.5mg so half is 1.25. I have once been at 5mg but after

Booster or 3rd Primary?
I am on 20mg MTX and after the first jab was given 2 steroid injections to try to settle a bad flare. Then after the 2nd jab had a 3 week course of steroid tablets. Now I am on MTX plus COSENTYX (biologic) . Notsure if I need 3rd jab and booster, or just booster. Cannot seem to get answer from anyone

How Many ISTS do you have? I'm up to 8!
My journey started with my OrthopedIST that told me “sadly, your knee pain is not a torn meniscus, it’s arthritis”. After the pity party was over (and a bottle of wine was consumed) I pulled up my big girl panties and started my new collection – ISTS! My next appointment was to my new friend, the RheumatologIST

Hi ladies, has anyone on this combination had very small bumps come up over their chest bone and terrible irritation like prickly heat over the arms, chest and legs. I also have the rash underarms. It’s driving me crazy. I could scratch my skin to pieces. I take antihistamine to help me sleep of a night

Steroid injection into joint
Last Friday I had a steroid injection directly into my wrist joint. It was very unpleasant but the doctor assured me it would be worth it. It’s been a week now and my wrist is as painful as it ever was. Do I need to give it more time or has it been a waste of time? I’m gutted if it hasn’t worked, I can

Bone Scan
Morning all 👋 I was wondering if anyone has had or been offered a bone scan? After 3 years of being ok on 10mg Mthx, had a bad flare in July - ESR high and CRP elevated a bit, so had a steroid injection in my bum and Consultant put my Mthx up to 15mg. Now steroids have worn off I’m very stiff again

Steroid injections?
Hi everyone, I’m due to get a steroid injection soon and just wondered as to wether these are ok to have with b12 deficiency? I was diagnosed the end of may so have only just started my road to recovery. I have many many symptoms and just don’t want to go backwards! Any advice would be gratefully received

Painful shoulder
Confirmed, 12 May 2021, as having PMR, started on 15mg prednisolone down to 12.5mg but symptoms have returned to the right shoulder mainly. Now on 12.5mg and 10mg alternate days. Shoulder still painful. Rheumi suggests a steroid injection in shoulder as he does not want to increase the pred. Has anyone

C25K complete … again!
2nd time through the entire programme… the first time I completed it at lockdown in late March last year. I ran throughout lockdown completing a half marathon just about a year ago. I was loving running (never thought I’d say that!), throwing in regular a 10k to my routine. Then in the November lockdown

Methotrexate increase in dose
Hi all I have had my methotrexate upped from 10mg to 15mg following a recent flare. I had a steroid injection, but now that’s wearing off I’m a bit stiff again in the mornings. Although at the moment I don’t feel as bad I did during the flare, fingers crossed 🤞 no swelling as of yet, but I certainly
