I am going to see my Rheumatogist. I am diagnosed RA 18 years ago. I am on MTX and Hydro chloroquine was introduced about 5 years ago.But it was withdrawn for unknown reason just before Covid. Nothing was reviewed as planned. I havr distorted right toes due to RA and they were inflamed. I had an ultrasound

CAN YOU HAVE PAIN WITH NO SWELLING OR INFLAMMATION MARKERS & RIB PAIN
Hi everyone, I have psoriatic arthritis & was wondering if you can have pain without any swelling or inflammation markers showing on blood tests? Also, the awful pain I had for 3 months last year is back with a vengeance in my left side, back & front underneath my left ribs. I had a chest xray & ct

Reflux and other problems!
My reflux became 100 times worse since having steroid injections in spine and hips 2017 it also caused erosive gastritis. That thank God has gone but reflux causes me bad headaches when really bad. It's always present . No matter what I eat. Obviously there are certain foods I really do stay away from

Newly diagnosed - NEED HELP!
Growing up I was originally diagnosed with chronic fatigue syndrome. As of the end of last year it’s now been discovered I have rheumatoid arthritis, in both knees, both ankles, both hands and wrists and quite possibly my spine. I started hydroxychloroquine and sulfasalazine the beginning of this year

Steroid injection in big toe joints
Pain and swelling in big toe joints caused by RA are restricting my ability to walk well. I take omega 3 oil, have bespoke insoles and wear wide low lace ups to accommodate padding to protect the joints and alleviate the pain. My gait is “off” as I walk to favour my right knee and hip affected by RA

Update
Well it seems that my rheumatologist was right and I don’t have PMR but bursitis in my left hip, discovered after a CT and a MRI scan. I’m still confused as I thought I had all the symptoms when I was first diagnosed with PMR and the Prednisolone cleared it immediately. So I am now coming off steroids

Ultrasound Guided Steroid Injection & Tear in Tendon
Hi Everyone I was booked for the above in my right shoulder this afternoon, the radiographer said, so you're here to see if you need a steroid injection in your shoulder, I replied that I thought that was what I was having done anyway. Once he'd finished using the ultrasound, he said that I did have

Back and neck pain….new
Hi all I’m looking for some help from you all. I seem to just ride the most recent pain in my lower right back, and my right side of neck, it is troubling me hugely. My lower back is bad enough but the neck pain….It’s radiating from my neck, into the base of my skull, turning my head is bothersome

Steroid injection
Can I have one of these (for a trigger finger) if I have an unconfirmed heart murmur (i.e. been referred but not been seen yet).

RA and loss of hearing
Hi there. I wondered if anyone had experienced a loss of hearing, potentially due to their RA. I developed RA a year ago, and am currently on MTX and prednisolone after Sulfasalazine didn't help. Six months ago I lost hearing in one ear, literally over a couple of days, and developed tinnitus. My

Cuties are Back!.
Hello Everyone I hope you all had a happy and healthy as possible Easter. I'm in a lot of pain so had to take a break but 'cuties ' are hopefully back with a bang with these pygmy goats. I love their expressions and this youngster thought he'd hitch a ride with Mum to get a better view of his surroundings

Hay Fever Injections
My daughter has hay fever as well as Hashi’s. she asked my opinion today about getting a hay fever injection. It says online that it is a steroid injection that suppresses the immune response of the body. So would this suppression be in contra indicated with Hashi’s. (also would the same risk apply

Steroid injection didnt work 😔
Hi everyone. Im new to this group, but basically I am having a flare up after 6 years of no issues on Sulfasalazine. This is about 6 weeks after having Covid. My biggest issues are my knees and normally a steroid injection and aspiration sorts me right out....only this time my knee has swollen straight
