Steroid injection

Can I have one of these (for a trigger finger) if I have an unconfirmed heart murmur (i.e. been referred but not been seen yet).

I had a triple Bypass and I desperately need a steroid injection in my shoulder but have been told no not at this stage due to my grafts so I live of painkillers

I know that is not a heart murmur that you may or not may have as you are still waiting for a diagnosis but the best person to ask is going to be your Doctor they will tell you if it is safe or not or would rather you have your tests done and a diagnosis regarding you heart before they do

You both can have the steroid injections with no issues at all. If anyone is taking Ticagrelor or Clopidogrel, they can do an injection 5-6 hours after you have taken your morning dose. Or you can book yourself for the first appointment of the day and take these medications after the corticosteroid injection.

If anyone is on Warfarin, they need to have their past 3 INR readings to be in between 2-3. And everyone who is on these medications as well as is on Aspirin, is unfortunately at a risk of bleeding slightly more and for a bit longer, but otherwise, there are no absolute contraindications for the steroid injections.

If you search online for "trigger finger exercises" you will get quite a few matches. If you follow the ones for various UK hospitals these lead to PDFs with beneficial exercises. I found our about these from my hairdresser a decade or more ago when I was suffering. He had had issues a few years earlier which had affected his scissoring action.
