I have had CLL for about five years. I am currently on active surveillance and treatment naive. I had a spinal fusion on July 17 for L4-5 due to Spondylolisthesis. I feel like I’m recovering as well as I can expect from the surgery. My hemoglobin dropped to 10 post surgery so I have been very tired but

Coath and how refreshing and reassuring it was to speak to a medical professional who genuinely seems completely clued up about PMR/GCA and
steroids
. She was very happy with all my blood test results, and praised the various preventative measures I had in place to minimise steroid side effects.

MS Hug
I have just finished a round of
steroids
because of a flare caused by COVID and a secondary infection. I can't seem to get past this. What can you do for an MS Hug? I'm so tired of not being able to function. I can't even get into my bed without help to lift my legs into bed.

Relief of Myofascial pain at last.
With my recent increase of
steroids
(December) the #Myofascial pain in my right shoulder blade had reared it's ugly head (I think it had diminished on 8mg). It's been around throughout my 6 year journey and now I can acknowledge what a pain in the neck it has been. HAS been!

Bad acne on ivf drugs after BFP
Hi Ladies I’m just wondering if any of you had bad acne on progesterone and
steroids
after your BFP. It’s worse than when I was a teenager, any advise or recommendations to calm it down would be greatly appreciated 💫

Hi, I am having a lumbar steroid injection for a slipped disc. the doctor performing it wants my my inr below 1.2. I attend Barnet hospital anticoagulation clinic in London. They told me the person performing the steroid injection must make a “ bridging plan “, that may or may not involve heparin

Adrenal fatigue symptoms?
I have seeing an endocrinologist for about 4 years who is trying to wean me off
steroids
. She switched me to hydrocortisone a while ago from Prednisolone and until a few days ago I was down to taking 5mg morning and 5mg evening.

so worried about results
hi all well to cut a long story short, I had a terrible chest infection all of December, 3 lots of antibiotics and
steroids
which eventually cleared it all up. Had a sputum test which came back ok, but the doctor wants to talk to me about my chest X-ray.

Been on the IC since April 24h….bit fed up now!
Hi, I completed C25K a few years ago, and run regularly. I started having pain in both feet earlier this year, which felt like Plantar Fasciitis, which I had had very successful surgery for over 20 years ago! ( I must have been REALLY lucky with the results, as it’s hardly done now, as it’s not thought

Appointment advice/cimzia/pain
I've been able to reduce
steroids
from 7.5mg to 5mg and I take about half of the naproxen and codiene I was taking before. I am also on Hydroxychloroquine. However I am definitely not pain free, I've still got pain in my wrists/hands, knees and ankles that interferes with daily living.

Chronic shoulder pain
Was initially diagnosed with PMR in April 2022 only to be told a month later by Rheumatologist that it wasn’t PMR but a nasty viral infection. Also had long standing shoulder pain now for over 2 years and neck also very stiff.Had shoulder scanned recently shoeing no tests but SASD bursa distended consistent

Reducing steroids
Went hospital. 40mg
steroids
for 3 days and an antibiotic called Doxycycline. As I had reduced my
steroids
for PMR and GCA to 8mg a day, I was wondering if I should keep to 8mg a day after the last day of 40mg? I forgot to ask the doctor at hospital. My thoughts would be helpful. Thank you.

Prednisolone experience
I do believe some pain is a side effect of the
steroids
, but it's a slow journey to find out! Good luck to all, it's not easy is it. Thankyou to this group for helpful contributions, Waltztherapy.

Tried to use my new stationary bike for just 10 minutes
But if not, is it the PMR that makes this impossible, or the
steroids
, or just the combination of both?
