Overdoing it?
Between starting
Steroids
in July 2023 and going on holiday in November I had put on a stone and got sluggish and I was still tired and inactive. Three weeks' warm sunshine and some peace and quiet and I lost half a stone and got to regularly swimming a mile a day and clocking 10,000 steps.

following ophthalmology
She explained the
steroids
may have helped other symptoms from undiagnosed other problems but that they are not the correct treatment for mg answering why the suffering continues. so onwards we go and hopefully this will be the beginning of answers for my sake and my daughters.

Stopping Actemra
High dose
steroids
are one of the drugs in the chemical cocktail I will be on plus a different biologic, a protease inhibitor and perhaps other drugs. So, the Actemra will just be too much. My bone marrow is making a protein that is destroying my kidneys.

GCA flare and eye sight
She said that once the initial GCA was brought under control with the high doses of
steroids
losing eye sight is not a concern. Now I am confused. Peggy

adalimubab
I have also been on varying doses of
steroids
both injection and oral for most of the year. Currently on 7.5mg daily. I feel the Adalimubab is having very little effect and every time steroid is weaned done the flare starts.

painkilling spinal injections
He was very nice and extremely thorough and told me l have a soft spine, probably due to
steroids
, and would need an op to remove a bit of spine that had slipped and was pressing on nerves. He wants to operate and can do so in 4 weeks time but the bill will be £10,880.

Time it takes to kick in - prednisone vs prednisilone?
My doctor is having me try a couple different forms of
steroids
because in the past oral prednisone hasn't been as effective for me personally.

Is it tapering or adrenals?
I'm a bit better now I've rested all day.Do you think I just need to up my
steroids
for a couple of days(I've been on 4.5mg Prednisolone for 2 weeks now after a very slow taper? I have LVV and PMR and I also take 20mg Methotrexate weekly.)

Sleep aids
Realise there are likely to be a number of replies through various posts, but be good to hear what works for people on this thread if possible. ..on another note are
steroids
likely to spike tinnitus?

Re-occurring Alcoholic Hepatitis
My partner has had 3 in past 2.5 years, each time going yellow and requiring a prescription of
steroids
with a weeks stay in hospital. Unfortunately he will not give up the drink (a decision he has made despite our pleas and commitment to try and get him to see sense).
