Hi. I went to a physio about the awful pain I was getting in my pelvis. When I told her that I was in the process of being assessed for Lupus, (have discoid lupus but SLE being checked with rheumy in October,) she immediately made connections with lupus and sacrollitis. She has given me pelvic exercises to strengthen the muscles and then said once I have regained the strength in that area I need to maintain it with Pilates or legs, bums and tums classes. Only started the exercises last week but starting to feeling better already. She also contacted the rheumy letting them know her diagnosis. So maybe seeing a physio might be a good call. All the best.

Its a horrible pain , i could barely walk . I was referred to physio but it made no real difference so consultant did a guided steroid injection and it made such a difference. I still get a niggle every so often but it settles down again with so exercises . I hope you find something that helps!

I have just succumb to this. Never experienced pain here before. Looked it up in sports injuries book. Inflamation of sacroiliac joint. I have been doing more walking because of cloudy weather so think I strained sacrum by doing brisk walks when not fit anymore.

I'm now getting this pain first thing, and feeling now it could be bowel-related also.

I have just started Adilumabab injections this week, hope they help, so fed up of being woken in the night with SI joint pain.
