Going into Hospital Sunday😢
OK, so they are experimenting on me by changing from Dia-Morphine which I've had in my Medtronic Pump for the last 15 years which the body has become immune too! They are going to drain out the dia-morphine over a period of 2/3 days (that's going to be fun, not) and then once empty fill up with 50% Hydromorphone

A Win with the Endo! Also any Experience with ERFA here?
The last time I saw my Endo six months ago he told me that if my symptoms and labs didn’t improve he would let me try NDT. Since then I have felt worse, weight gain, hair loss, constantly cold, developed eczema for the first time in my life, muscle aches, etc. My most recent results from September

B12 deficiency not treated
I am new to this website and do not know if I have PA? Went to see Gp in June 2019 as feeling worn out, dizzy spells and generally feeling unwell. (taking into account I have a failed spinal fusion back syndrome and Fibromyalgia). First time I had B12 checked and it showed 79 - told I would need 6 injections

Hi there. Just an introductory post. My name's Connor, I have FA, and I'm 24. I was diagnosed when I was 9, had spinal fusion surgery at 12/13, I started using a walking frame at 17, and went into a wheelchair at 20. I have a degree in accountancy, I don't work but I've done a bit volunteering. Now a

Chiropractic Adjustment
Well, I've had an adjustment and discovered 2 things. 1. My back, shoulder, ribs and neck were so out of alignment after a 12 hour car trip that it all was triggering part of my pain. 2. My stomach is so full of gas that it is pushing on my ribs and causing more pain. I'm doing my best to get rid

Lupus and Fibromalgyia
Hi all I'm super new to this site. I was diagnosed 3 years ago and it's been downhill ever since. I'm now seeing a psychiatrist for my mental health and he suggested I go back to my rheumatologist and ask to be rechecked. He thinks I may have something else either Lupus or something else. I do contract

Pain 10 years after a spinal fusion L5/S1
Hi All, Has anyone suffered an overwhelming increase in back pain following a spinal fusion? I had mine 10 years ago now and although not 100%....had been doing alright in my retirement. I had been a nurse for 40 years and although I tried couldn’t return to work comfortably, so decided to take early

Ecmo and icu
Hello, my partner was admitted to A&E a week ago and put on a ventilator with severe pneumonia. Nothing helped until medical staff flew down from London to put him on ecmo and transferred him to London. He hasn't woken up after they stopped sedative 4 days ago, but he has eye movement, breathes alongside

Pain clinic fail.....😖 (long rant sorry)
I had an appointment with the pain clinic consultant last week after being seen by his registrar to get my pain medication sorted out. I’ve had chronic pain since a spontaneous Sacral fracture five years ago. I take Naproxen, Nortriptyline, Co-Codamol and Butrans patches. These had all been prescribed

Bowel endo
Hi, I had a resection in 2016 due to endo that had infiltrated my bowel wall. I had had previous surgery to remove endo. I have been fine since then until the last 6 months. My periods have gone incredibly heavy and pelvic pain is starting to creep in. The issue is I have had bowel problems for 6 months

Privately funded ivf with a donated egg in the UK
We have had a little delay in getting going with our second ivf cycle, due to me having spinal surgery in February. I’m fighting fit and now and had a consultation with our clinic, where they advised we need to use donor eggs to become pregnant. We are on the waiting list for an egg donor. It’s likely

Unexplained Chest Pains/Palpitations
I started having tachycardia 4 years ago. My heart rate would go up into the 170s. I've had several ECGs, blood work, CT Scan of the heart, stress test, holter monitor, Ziopatch and echo. Everything came back normal. I have been put on propranolol, metoprolol, and now Bisoprolol 2.5 mg once daily since

Lumbar spinal stenosis with PSP?
My husband also was diagnosed with severe lumbar spinal stenosis and it was recommended he have spinal fusion. We are not going to do that at this point. Can't imagine adding that on top of everything else. The rehab would be nearly impossible. Someone else on this site (I can't find the post now) said

Ignored CKD diet and then had best test results so far
I am not making recommendations that what I did should be done by you. Each must follow their own doctors advice. I am just relating my experience. In mid 2017 I had kidney removed. I immediately became classified stage 3b, with creatinine levels of 1.8 or 1.9. I followed all the advice. Diet.
