I have a spinal cord stimulator but still very much pain in my back. I also have have knee and ankle pain. I to take quite a number of pain meds daily. I’m wondering how long we will be able to continue on the meds.

My daughter has spinal arachnoiditis and has just had to quit working. So very sad for someone so young. Do any of you have that? If so, have you been able to get any help?

Thanks!

Hi there Obriants. Unfortunately it is a very difficult problem. Most people who get stimulators (for arachnoiditis) end up regretting it. Surgery isn’t recommended unless there is something else critical going on. If she hasn’t tried lignocaine / ketamine infusions then it could be worthwhile her asking her Dr about this. I hope she’s hanging in okay
