Spinal fusion????
HI i had a 70% L4/L5 discectomy 5 years ago and was told i would more than likely need a fusion in time, well that may be now as MRI shows problem with remaining disc and a trapped nerve that is causing constant pain any way i'm enquiring if any one else has gone through this and how the fibro is affected

ON OXYGEN - CAUSING MORE DRY SKIN
On the good advice of the Nurse, I have stopped the dryness in my nose with KY jelly. However, I have dry cracking on my lips but I don't know what to use as I was told lip balms have petroleum jelly in them. Does anyone have any ideas please? MERRY CHRISTMAS TO EVERYONE.

Is there anybody with Experience of Spinal Cord Stimulation
Hi I have neuropathic pain following a shoulder injury in 2000. For the last four years my pain consultant has recommended that I have spinal cord stimulation, but I have never been able to find people who have had positive success other than for lower back pain. Do you have - or know anybody who

Has anyone had a spinal fusion - with good results? And how do you get a 2nd opinion?
However, saw the spinal consultant 2 wks ago and whilst I thought I was making a good recovery as I could hobble with crutches for a short time he said the MRI showed I had Degenerative Disc Disease and probably needed
spinal
fusion
as I had both back and leg pain/ numbness still.

Hello :)
I dont want to spend every year taking loads of oral steroids, as I already have the start of osteoporosis and I am really worried about my
spinal
fusion
deteriorating further, so need to think about alternatives. Im starting to feel like my lungs are ruling my life.

Stupid or not?
I may be stupid and that is one answer but if i am not then someone may have the answer for me. Either way i get a result. I had a heart attack followed by a quad bypass(during which i suffered cardiac arrest) and was found to have FH. My current total chol is 4.5. I had been taking medication(Bisoprolol

so I'm concerned about that, additional abdominal surgery has left me very weak around the core, but again hope that C25k will motivate me to increase core exercise's that physio thinks I should do for the rest of my life, but he's not so keen on me doing this, we'll see who's

Keep On Running!
I started my second week today! To be honest I can't believe I have stuck with it but I'm now really enjoying it. I had brain surgery last Dec and had been completely sedentary for six month, I also gave up smoking in Oct so my weight rocketed and I went up three dress sizes. I had always been active

You Can Get Help With Eyesite Problems
My Sister-in -Law Audrey was diagnosed with PSP in December 2011 But we are sure that she had been miss-diagnosed for at least 6 years when she was being treated for vertigo and other balance problems. During that period she had eye problems which opticians and the hospital eye department. were unable

Has anyone had rls change to something else?
I had painful rls all my life, i then had spinal surgery and was prescribed tramadole for pain relief. Since then my rls has completely stopped but has been replaced by myoclonus jerks and a lot of random limb movement during times of rest and sleep. The tramadole is the only thing that keeps me still
