On the good advice of the Nurse, I have stopped the dryness in my nose with KY jelly. However, I have dry cracking on my lips but I don't know what to use as I was told lip balms have petroleum jelly in them. Does anyone have any ideas please?
MERRY CHRISTMAS TO EVERYONE.

I try to avoid the dry skin in the first place by taking a cod liver oil supplement, as advised by a dietician. The usual dose (capsule size) is 550mg and he advises taking 3 capsules per day. It works for me. Have you thought about the chap-sticks? They are put on like a lipstick so don't spread and it is very unlikely your cannula would touch your lips. Not recommending this - just a thought. And if you think there is any infection you need to see your GP.
Thanks for the advice. It's reassuring to know when other people have tackled these problems. Have a lovely day tomorrow. Hope Father Christmas brings you lovely gifts. xxx
Thanks bifmember. Do you know which moisturising cream is free from petroleum jelly and other things that are not to be used with oxygen? I can't seem to find a list of such things anywhere. Don't want to cause an explosion!
