Does anyone have Spondilolisthesis whats the best medal I've tried loads none work on list for spinal fusion

I had spinal fusion on 7 vertebrae in May 2024 because a compression fracture developed on T10 and surrounding vertebrae after SBRT. What next?

I was scheduled for spinal fusion surgery and the timing was ideal as we have temporarily relocated to a retirement apartment with food and housekeeping included. But it wasn’t to be. Pre op blood work showed severe unexplained anaemia.

A surgeon has told me I will need fusion and have to go on a waiting list of at least a year. The idea of waiting a year is unbearable but the more I read about the surgery the more I am unsure whether to even have it as there dont seem to be many success stories.

This is my scar at the 9 week mark after spinal fusion of 7 vertebrae. There are 2 rods and 12 screws in my back to help stabilise my vertebrae after prostate cancer caused a compression fracture. I have discontinued most of the pain medication.

I felt great.. after that I went from one injection a month to one injection every 3 months, but for the last 4 or 5 years it's been one injection each month.. fast forward 2016, I had spinal cord compression that was fixed with a three level cervical spinal fusion at the surgery everything was fine.

Neurosurgeon reports severe deterioration in lumber MRI and has agreed to a spinal fusion, no pain reduction guarantee. Waiting list 2/3 months. I can no longer bear weight on my right hip. I had an urgent THR May last year for Avascular Necrosis from 9 years on steroids.

He will be getting a spinal fusion in a few days to prevent the spine from collapsing any further. He will start R--CHOP a few days later.

She suggested maybe bladder infection ( had a urine test ), too much exercise ( I have been on rehabilitation programme in pool & gym for last few weeks since spinal fusion of 7 vertebrae on May 6 th) or because I hadn’t had my 6 monthly Eligard injection, which they gave me today.

Spinal surgeon says pain should reduce after 4 to 6 weeks. Any advice would be greatly helpful.

I also take gabapentin 300 twice a day for other nerve damage from spinal fusion. And marijuana is my last resort for the middle of the night but it doesn’t last long. I don’t think the iron infusions should be continued. I’m scheduled for another in August.

Hi, My name is Jim, when i was 17 I had a car accident and the result was 2 x spinal fusion, second fusion involved replacing discs , new disc rubbed on aorta causing Aortic aneurism was only 22 at the time now about to turn 42, and PTSD has finally kicked in.

I have had stage 4 ovarian cancer, a stroke, developed a seizure disorder from a car accident, shoulder reconstruction, 2 three- level spinal fusions, repeated bouts of pneumonia, and more, prior to 2010 I am more healthy now at age 60 than I have been in 14 years.

She was diagnosed this January and had to have a spinal fusion ( spreading there ) to her bone and liver. She is currently on a combination of Ribocyclib with fuvestrant. She is doing very well, with positive signs in her liver and tumour markers. She is on the full dosage of Ribo - 3 tablets.

I had my 4th spinal fusion surgery in September and was convinced these nerve type pains were down to that but even tho surgery was successful they are still there driving me mad.

A complicating factor for mr is that I have an 8 level spinal fusion which was the original reason I was put on gabapentin - nerve bundlling and damage from that.

My metalwork did not hold, so following a further 2 fractures, I had a T4-L4 spinal fusion. I had a very prolonged hospital stay of 5 months, due to sepsis, and a further 3 months in a spinal rehab unit. During this time L4 at the bottom of the construct fractured badly.

My doctor is saying that I need to get a spinal fusion because I broke T10 through T12 back in 2011 so over 12 years ago and it is caused severe phasis due to my osteoporosis and from never getting it surgically dealt with at the time.
