Vitamin D3 - higher dosage recommended
Really interesting video on vitamin D3. Apparently, most of us are now deficient and we are not taking enough. Gives advice on safe higher doses. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HH1rB-Ya2UQ I'd also recommend the book, "The Miraculous Effects of High Doses of Vit D3 and K2..." By Jeff Bowles.

Do You Remember The Winter Of 1963?
Do you remember your school being shut because of the snow and the boilers weren't working or the desks were frozen to the floor or it was just the wrong kind of snow? I do have a clear and vivid memory of my little brother trudging over the fields in his wellies...and short trousers...all on his own

Lysine/Herpes(Cold sores) and RA
I was wondering if anyone has tried Lysine supplements for their RA? I came across a website (search David W Gregg and Rheumatoid arthritis) in which he gives a theory that RA is somehow related to the herpes/cold sore virus and he gives details of patients who took lysine which made their symptoms better

Pulmonary Effects of Tobacco Vaporizer?
I have switched from cigarettes to a tobacco vaporizer, which is not the same as an e-cigarette in that it uses tobacco leaves rather than e-juices/liquids. I use approximately one cigarette worth of leaves on a daily basis. This device heats the leaves up to a max of 210 degrees celsius, thus not causing

young people with COPD
I've been thinking about why there is a new younger demographic diagnosed with COPD. What has changed in the last 20 years with culture? In regards to marijuana in culture, the 60's and 70's did not have high pressure sodium lights which enabled a whole new way of growing pot hydroponically. The 60's

Common colds & brain function
I notice that when I`m coming down with a cold, I seem to get clumsier & more forgetful. this has me worrying about whether colds have a role in the development of dementia, or is it just all part of having thyroid problems?

New
Hi, I'm new here and have read quite a few posts tonight which I've found really helpful. I was searching the Internet in desperation, yet again, to see if I could find something different to help me relieve my symptoms and came across RLSUK, don't know why I've not seen it before. I blame it on sleep

Aches and pains.
Hi, I've been diagnosed with underactive thyroid and am now taking 75g of Levo. I'm now suffering from horrible joint pains in my fingers on both hands, some shoulder pain, and problems just in my left leg, hip, knee, tendinitis on my Achilles and swelling of my ankle. My right foot only has heel pain

What Happened To...
Pink blancmange...put in a mould in the shape of a rabbit. Hot dripping on toast. Spangles. Milkmen in electric floats. People whistling. Lucky Bags with a sherbet dip. Christmas 'boxes' for regular tradesmen. Walking to school. School staying open all the winter. Homemade sponge cake on a Sunday Listening

New Inhaler
Just been to see my Consultant today and I was offered a different inhaler to use instead of my Tiotropium. It is called Aclidinium and is to be used twice a day. Have any of you used this? I have been given one which will last me for 30days. If I am happy with it I just need to ask my GP to prescribe

Season of colds
I've just had my first dose of cimzia this week and I felt a lot better, though it's wearing off now. Everyone around me is spluttering and sneezing and I'm afraid I'm going to catch their colds. Pd off about it. Do those of you who regularly take cimzia stop it if you've a cold? It's like getting a

Frequent colds
Iv`e noticed that I catch cold after cold in the wintertime since my thyroid bailed out on me. I know that this is probably down to a lower than normal body temperature despite taking Levothiroxine. Is there anything that i can do to boost my resistance?
