ABLATION EXPERIENCE
June 8 I had my ablation. I stayed in overnight and about 5 hours after being home was rushed to hospital in atrial fib with a 280 beats per minute heart rate. I still have afib from time to time without the tachacardia now, but I am so tired so easy. This is very frustrating since I am in my early 50

Haven't left house in 5 days!
I feel completely trapped at home, I haven't left the house for 5 days, the only person I see is my dad. Don't get me wrong it is great to be able to spend so much time with my father, as he is 77. However I am craving contact with the outside world. Every time I leave the house within an hour the pain

Bradycardia still not sure
I am a 67 year old female and have been diagnosed with AF a year ago after having a TIA which came out of the blue. I was full of energy and thought to be very healthy. I am reading all your great comments and advise and I am hoping someone will be able to give me some information. I am taking perindopril

Changing from propranolol to bisoprolol
I habe had tachycardia for around 6 years now with my resting heart rate at 120. I am being treated for vasculitis and now have been given the bisoprolol to take instead of propranolol. I would like to ask that is it ok to start these the next day or do I need to be off of propranolol for a few days

Sacroiliac area and groin pain ( I cannot lie down or sit)
Hello, I put off going to bed until I am utterly exhausted as I cannot lie down, sitting is equally painful and limits the distance I can travel. I have had so many nerve blocks and a denervation's that I have lost count. The GP prescribes Tramadol which does not help at all and I am on an anti inflammatory

Newbie to AF needs advice, please
I am a 70 year old, fairly fit male. I had a stent fitted Oct 2013, followed by a balloon in Feb 2014 (both LAD). I carry a GTN spray for occasional use for angina. Diet & exercise routine good - I use my local gym twice a week and cycle. Until 5 weeks ago, I felt on top form. But, whilst on

PAF and lying down
Why does my PAF (probably vagal) so often start when I get into bed - sometimes I've hardly lain down and off it goes. I sleep on my right side as I've heard that is usually better for AF sufferers. It lasts for typically up to 2 hrs. I've had one catheter ablation (June 2015) which improved things enormously

Really scared of going 'Cold Turkey'
Hi Guys After some lovely people responded to my first post on here I thought I would share my anxiety with you and see if anyone has any pearls of wisdom. I've had Headache and Migraine for 20 years. Taken so many different preventatives, tried Botox, Nerve Blocks, some machine that I had to hold against

Changed pain meds
Hi everyone have not been able to get back here as much as I would like but life just got really busy. Work is just crazy and the kids are ready to be done for the year. I sure know I am ready for summer break. So being that busy means the pain gets ahead of me I have to take my pain killers even

Hi All - Group Support NI
Hi folks, Been long time since I posted here. I have trigeminal neuralgia and this forum has been great. I've been busy these past few months- I had a nerve abilation and 2 stellate ganglion nerve blocks but I feel like I'm back to square 1 again. I feel like the pain is worse than ever now and I'm actually

Feeling of heart stopping
Hi, I'm 17 years old and was diagnosed with autonomic dysfunction when I was 14. When I was first diagnosed with autonomic dysfunction I had periods of random tachycardia, but I haven't had any major symptoms for almost 3 years. Recently though, I've had a feeling of my heart stopping or pausing while

Episodes of slow but forceful heartbeat
Hi I have had ectopic beats for many years which have been diagnosed as benign, but recently I have been experiencing episodes of a slow (in the 40's) but forceful heartbeat which is uncomfortable but no dizziness or breathlessness. I had an episode today and took my blood pressure which was 192/80
