Pudendal Nerve Blocks
Hello everyone, I just got diagnosed with PN after I had MR Neurography. I had vestibulectomy 3 months ago and am still miserable and in pain. My MRN report shows that I have thicker and intense left pudendal nerve than the right one. Since I have no clear cause (no fall, surgery, trauma) my doctor advised

Pudendal nerve block
After over 8 years of chronic nerve and muscle pain throughout my intimate and coccyx area I have finally found a Dr who thinks he may be able to help me. Going into Wythinshawe Hospital on 6th April to have a pudendal nerve block. Fingers crossed that it provides some form of relief after all my years

Lidocaine infustion
I had a ilioinguinal nerve block yesterday that didn't help at all, even though that is exactly where my pain is at (lower left abdomen radiating into upper inner groin). The pain dr. recommends I try a lidocaine infusion next. This is where they put an IV in your arm and then systemically administer

Hi Everyone I'm new to the community, and I am looking for any advice or tips to manage 24/7 pain. I fell and damaged my back back in late 2013. Slipping my T7-8 T11-12 L4-5 and L5-S1. As you can imagine I was in a conciderable amount of pain. After having 3 MRI scans and going trough numerous painkillers

Dentist and Apixaban
Went for a check up yesterday and she wants to do a de scale and polish. As I am on Apixaban she would like me to miss two tablets before and one afterwards Is this the norm? While I am in the mood for a rabbit. I was on Pradaxa for over a year with no problems and then my GP decided to change me to

AF attack or Tachycardia after drinking Alcohol
Paying the price maybe! I celebrated a family members Birthday 7 days ago and drank more than I would normally. ok ok 4 pints of Bitter over 8 hours. Normal for me would be 1-3 pints per week. A day later I suffered a 2 minute spell of what seemed to be a normal heart rate but irregular (it just could

EP study scared...
Hi all, I'm having a hell of a time with my little heart lately. It all started when one night I had a very fast heart rate and chest pain and I passed out temporarily. I was taken to the hospital and because of my young age they immediately started talking about anxiety and stress until my troponin

19 Months Post RF Pulmonary Vein Ablation and back in AF
I went back into AF at 17 months or is it Atrial Tachycardia as my Electro Physiologist at Barts now thinks? Thankfully he has agreed to another ablation. Disappointed to be out of rhythm again and not on my race bike but realistically I always knew I would need a touch up at some point. But to all

Confused re should I go to hospital
I ve been on a rocky road this year but feel I am getting on top of it. I had bypas in October 2013 after heart attack recovered really well Bu February 2015 started with arrhythmia which in July 2015 was revealed to be sick sinus syndrome caused by bradycardia and tachycardia so had pacemaker implanted

AF or Sick Sinus Syndrome
I've been suffering from episodes of rapid heart rates in the region of 140 and low rates of as low as 25 for about 6 years, these being measured at home using my BP machine and Fingertip Pulse Oximeter Heart Rate Monitor. The low rates seem to have been getting steadily worse together with episodes

hypertension and apixaban
Hi everyone, Despite 3 types of meds to control my hypertension, over the last months it's been creeping up to unacceptable levels (170/95 to 100/95 resting at home with a reliable machine) My GP has upped med dosages but so far to no avail. I'm on apixaban and I'm concerned about brain bleeds etc.

Problems after ablation for SVT, response to Becky2830
"I have stabbing chest pains and a pretty much constant heavy pain and have had my svt 3 times since but I can't even walk into my kitchen without my heart rate increasing to about 150bpm and me being short of breath..." This is a link to the original posting so please go back there if it's still active

Pain worse after nerve block injection
I had a nerve block injection around 3 weeks ago and my pain has been horrendous since then. It's more intense, seems to have spread, flares are pretty much constant and last longer. Has anyone experienced this? Thanks.

Apixaban
I have moved from warfarin to apixaban today. I wasn't given a huge amount of information but told to stop warfarin 3 days in advance and then start on apixaban. I took warfarin on Wednesday and nothing thursday, Friday or Saturday. I took my first dose of apixaban tonight. My INR was down to 2.2.
