Seven years of trying everything I can for rectal spasms. Has anyone had any successful treatments or medications?
Hi there, I am ripping my hair out with seven years of no quality of life. I started with terrible rental spasms and pelvic pain and now I have been suffering from leg discomfort and weakness worse at night. MRI shows up no spinal compression. I have been all over the world to specialists, have tried

Hi there and thanks to all who replied to my last posts - I do find a lot of help here. Just another question and hopefully to draw on others experiences. I’m just over 3 months post ablation (26/09) and all had been going pretty well. Just in the last week i’ve been getting runs of what I presume are

Hey, I'm the new gal here!
I was just at my Doctors office and while getting my very first Occucipital nerve block for chronic migraines, I had what he said was some type of seizure, not a grand Mal, but, My body froze up, got rigged, I went unconscious for about 45 seconds, and when I came too, I was confused for about 15 seconds

Bisoprolol post AF
I had an ablation for a paroxsysmal AF, only two serious occurrences in 6 years. The op seemed effective, it was about 9 months ago, but the cardio said its only a success if there's no recurrence ever. Anyway,I was initially taking Apixaban, flecanaide and bisoprolol for about 4 months, then stopped

Is my afib going away?
I was diagnosed on Aug 26, 2017. Woke up at night with with afib. Since then I was put on metoprolol. The 2nd episode was 47 days later. Then 18 days later, 3rd episode came. Another 18 days later, 4th episode happened. All woke me up at night. After learning beta blocker doesn't prevent afib but just

Devine intervention or just a dream?!
Hey, This is a Strange one for NYE, but last night I had the weirdest lucid dream. I was in a medical centre, the room was blue & white & looked very posh for a hospital environment. I was in a waiting room unsure what I was doing there or how I got there or who I was seeing, my name was called &

Pain meds
I was wondering if anyone else is noticing a difference in their care because of the opioid epidemic. I know this a major problem and concern, but there are some of us that need pain relief for the correct reasons. I have two bulging disks, spinal stenosis, disk degeneration, and the worst is the neuropathy

Extra ectopic beats
Hi. I am a 57 year old female and am experiencing extra ectopic beats daily along with a strange heart quiver. I am probably getting between 6 and 12 a minute at the moment. Twelve years ago I had an ablation for exactly the same thing. This thankfully got rid of them but on three occasions due to

Erythromalalgia Treatment
Anybody with experience (success?) treating erythromalalgia with nerve block or surgery to cut sympathetic nerves? This frequent, severe aching pain and burning is driving me bonkers. I am so sick and tired of it!

2 months post ablation
I have been doing good since ablation except one week after I stopped rythmol I had an irregular pulse for about 30 minutes then epigastric pain after with some nausea. I did wean off the rythmol as Bob suggested. Was fine after that but yesterday lots of ectopics so I just rest most of the day.

A PEACEFUL AND HAPPY CHRISTMAS TO EVERYONE
I regularly read all the posts but don't very often reply. I am writing to wish everyone a very peaceful AF free Christmas. I was discharged from outpatient cardiology a few months ago as my symptoms are in control. I know that my AF will always be with me and rear its head when its ready. The recent

How to measure the heat rate accurately
This topic was posted a day ago and I made a comment about which some of you could be interested and may miss because the post was a day ago. So I have posted its again here. I have a three lead EKG device that shows the heart rate. What it shows is a very irregular chart, when my heart is in AF, and

Medication change and arrhythmia
Has anyone on this forum triggered an arrhythmia episode via a change in blood pressure medication? After my 2nd ablation for atrial tachycardia two weeks ago, my GP, doubled my blood pressure medication from 5 mg amlodipine daily to 5 mg twice daily for a total 10 mg daily. Reluctant to start immediately

Apixaban
If Warfarin INR is stable is it worth going on to Apixaban? I read that there is no antidote to stop active bleeding with the new drugs (Apixaban, Rivaroxaban Dabigatran) however Warfarin does have an antidote, vitamin K.
