Ectopics for hours!!

Hi there and thanks to all who replied to my last posts - I do find a lot of help here.

Just another question and hopefully to draw on others experiences. I’m just over 3 months post ablation (26/09) and all had been going pretty well. Just in the last week i’ve been getting runs of what I presume are ectopics? Basically its normal heart rate around 75bpm then a short pause then normal again. This can can just be one or so an hour to now for example it’s been on and off for about 4 hours since I started work this morning - anyone else had similar experiences post ablation? I’m now off of the flec and only taking bisoprolol and Apixaban for now

Matt

Ectopics post ablation are very common and fundamentally harmless. Have you tried the slow deep breathing exercise. Search top right for details.

Hi Bod and thanks for the reply. I’ll look up the breathing exercises. Funnily enough they stopped after about 4 and half hours or so pretty much just as i posted!!

Do you know if these ever go away?

Thanks again Bob

Not for me although I have had long periods without them. I seem to get almost an annual patch of a month or so but have never been able to tie down any reason.

It’s very odd - nothing seems to trigger them or to settle them although I will try he breathing techniques suggested - thanks again Bob

Hi Matt the same thing happens to me ,I now have pacemaker and have had ablation although I am in permanent F,A ,which can be very exhausting ,I am on bisoprolol ,which. Can cause breathlessness but however I do feel ok and try to stay positive ,do take care. Poppy Storey
