Loop done- now got to wait for my womb to heal 😔
I should be feeling relieved that the technology we have has possibly saved my life. Saved me from developing cervical cancer but all I can feel is sad. I know that it won’t affect us having ICSI but worried i May have complications when we start. 6 weeks of recovery and the we can begin in the new year

Natural IVF vs donor eggs
I have some probably daft questions about natural IVF and donor eggs but I'm hoping someone will be able to help. As I'm only producing 1 or 2 eggs with stimulated IVF I wondered if natural IVF might be the way forward for us. Due to male factor we have to use ICSI, given that you can't say exactly

What is the difference between ICSI and IVF?
The difference between IVF and ICSI is in how the oocyte is fertilized. In IVF, the oocyte is exposed to sperm in an in -vitro container until the highly motile sperm enters the oocyte and fertilizes it. But in the ICSI technique, a selected sperm is injected directly into the oocyte through a special

Any advice to get through Christmas?
So sorry everyone for such a late and long post. I am just looking on some advice on how to get through the festive season with regards to diet? I had a failed ICSI round back in July. I cannot believe how quickly the time has passed since, however the heartache still feels like yesterday. I had low

Day 3 transfer or risk it?
Hi folks, just looking for some advice. This is our second round of ICSI this year. I have endo and a blocked tube. No male factor. My AMH is 21 and I’m a short low dose protocol. Last cycle I had 14 eggs collected but only 6 were mature. All 6 fertilised and looked ‘perfect’ at day 3 but by day 5 we

None or just one blastocyst - any successes?
Dear all, I have had three ICSI cycles with none or very few blastocysts. First cycle: 0 out of 6 embryos Second cycle 1 out of 5 embryos Third cycle: 1 out of 3 embryos Normally, you should have one out of three or four embryos surviving to blastocyst, but my results are always way below that.

When do I go for 2nd cycle?
Hi ladies. I was wondering if you could give me some opinions.... We had our first cycle in May of this year. It was a bit of a disaster. My daddy had just died unexpectedly but I still went ahead with the treatment cos he said he had a good feeling about it. I didn’t respond great to the menopur. I

Sperm sample not suitable for IVF - ICSI needed
Hi everyone, I just had my first egg retrieval today. On the way home we received a phone call to say that my husbands sperm was not suitable for IVF and they would be doing ICSI instead. This came as a shock as previous sperm tests have showed only slight reduced motility. And everything else perfect

Enough?
Hello all, I haven’t posted in a wile because of the awful 3rd cycle we’ve been through. Everything was going well, 22 follicles and got 17 eggs at egg collection and ICSI was used. Initially delighted and so was team. The phone call from embryologist the following morning - only 8 had fertilised -8

Aspirin or no aspirin
I have a 15mth boy through ICSI and took aspirin from Day 1 of FET until week 11 of pregnancy. I am trying for my 2nd child with a different clinic and the consultant has advised against taking aspirin saying I have no history of miscarriage and it could actually do harm. However a consultant at Guys

Low fertilisation rate success stories please!
Hi everyone, I had my egg collection yesterday and got 12 eggs. I was really happy with this as last time I got 19 and had bad OHSS so felt these numbers gave me a good chance of some good blasts and avoiding OHSS. This morning I got the call that 10 were suitable for ICSI but only 3 fertilised. A little

Has anyone had success with 3 day transfer and slow developing embryo?
This is my first round of IVF ICSI and of the six eggs collected only 1 fertilised 😢 They plan to transfer tomorrow which will be a 3 day transfer. I had a call from embryologist this morning and she mentioned that it’s also developing slower than they would expect and she will call tomorrow before

IVF, sperm quality and alcohol
Can anyone tell me how much alcohol, if any my husband should be drinking before he gives his sperm sample? Should he stop completely and if so how long for? He likes a drink for sure and also has a stag 2 weeks before egg collection and thus producing a sample. We are going for ICSI but obviously want

3rd bfn - this just gets harder each time
So this week we had our 3rd bfn from our FET, and we are just devastated. These failures really don’t get any easier to cope with and I’m just so so tired and exhausted by all of this treatment. My body is bloated, bruised with hormones all over the place and my head is a mess, cannot stop thinking about
