Solpadeine

In so much pain, taking solpadeine and Ibuprofen. Vomiting. Waiting for private appointment on 6th May. Should I call 111 I don’t know what to do x

Took Solpadeine Max, & this helped, but only to be used for 3 days, & are expensive. Can my GP give me strong painkillers, or should I jut stick with Solpadeine? Would Paracetamol maybe help? Again thank you for any response.

Am now RLS free during the day and early evening which is a massive relief but RLS still wakes me in the early hours when Solpadeine helps and usually drop off to sleep again after an hour or so to be woken again anytime after from 4am when my day usually starts.

Went to bed at 9.45 Monday night woke at 11.30 pm had to get up and walk around tried to go back to sleep by gave up till 6am went to bed and up again at 7.15am wasn’t much better on Sunday and nothing helps not the Solpadeine or the 1mg Ropinirole I take at 8.30pm.

Anyway I got through the worst of it by taking Solpadeine MAX not overdosing but keeping within reasonable limits and very long hot showers, can’t sit in a Bath, have to be on my feet.

Other times it starts when I get into bed and remain sitting upright to read .fortunately for me a simple paracetamol works or soluble solpadeine. Think I shall stop complaining now having read other views. Good luck everyone with your meds

I'm also taking OTC solpadeine max - codeine/paracetamol (3 or 4 a night) which I know is a really bad idea on top of the other drugs but it is the only thing that helps when the discomfort is really bad (but the effects don't usually last long).

I’m prone to migraines and hayfever…Grrrr I gave in and took Solpadeine Max but now I’ve belly ache! I found Solpadine the only tablet to work but Dr said they are addictive so use paracetamol. Any tips!

Paracetamol and ibuprofen does nothing for me, most of the time co-codamol doesn’t but if it does has to be a double dose of 8mg or a solpadeine 12mg (doesn’t help with the nausea much either!).

I’m not currently taking any other RLS medication other than Ropinirole and the Solpadeine.

I was handed nurofen and solpadeine then discharged without follow up. I haven’t slept since, this can’t be right, can it,? I’m out of my mind with worry. Is it normal not to follow this up?

Unfortunately as well as hrt citalopram, amityptyline and propanol I take solpadeine max or paracetamol on a daily basis tension headaches or they help me to relax and sadly it has been going on years the most I take is 4 in a day yesterday I took two.

I will put on my heat belt, take Solpadeine every 4 hours today and drink loads of fluids/eat fibre but apart from that, I am worried about how else to cope. The wedding season is starting again soon and I need to have strategies in place. Any ideas? Exercises I should do?

On going home I happened to notice the manufacturer of the codeine was TEVA and as the meds had done little in hospital I decided to try a dose of two Solpadeine Max (red tablets) which amounted to slightly less of the codeine but same amount of paracetamol as the hospital dose. Whaddya know!

At present take Solpadeine max soluble about 3 times a day and wake in pain in night and have another dose at 3 or 4 am. I have tried Pregablin for 3 months which outweighed benefits so stopped as had awful numbness in side of face.

During one very bad period I found I got relief from Codeine, in the form of dispersible Solpadeine. Two at night.

This pain lasted until midday despite taking solpadeine and naproxen, with ice pack on back. I'm still pretty fragile day 2 but doing part bed rest, part gingerly walking round the house. Any ideas??? I did nothing different to normal bar wearing sleeves, and very short calf exercises.

I've just taken a solpadeine max ( codeine & paracetemol) and will walk and stretch a bit more then watch some catch up episodes of Outlander on Amazon. Anyone else experience bad RLS after an MRI scan? Thankfully I only have one a year!
