This message is a bit random I am a bit of a worrier.

Unfortunately as well as hrt citalopram, amityptyline and propanol I take solpadeine max or paracetamol on a daily basis tension headaches or they help me to relax and sadly it has been going on years the most I take is 4 in a day yesterday I took two. I am scared though because I have recently had some blood tests come back that was requested by the menopause specialist and my liver enzymes are slightly elevated so they want to routine test me in 6 weeks. I am so scared it could be because of the paracetamol I have had some pain on my right hand side from below my bra line to below hip bone and I also have itchy skin but not sure if it could be the heat or any allergy? I am just looking for some reassurance just really scared my liver is bad. Can anyone help please?

Hi Ellie,

Welcome.

We have a publication 'Liver disease tests explained' that may be helpful to read;

britishlivertrust.org.uk/in...

You may then wish to discuss which liver enzymes were not within the reported reference range with the doctor who requested it and see what they think may have cause it. We would also suggest to inform them of the symptoms you are experiencing.

You may also want to discuss your use of pain medication with your GP to get some further specific advice.

Good luck :)
