Does Milk Thistle or other herbs deplete B12 faster
Hi all, a bit of strange one here but I would really appreciate some insight on this topic. I have been working with my naturopath for a few years now and am on a very slow detox and am finding now that my EOD B12 injections of 750mcg (max dose before headaches) are not lasting the full two days since

RLS getting worse
I first experienced RLS when I was pregnant with my daughter, I was assured that that the condition would go away once my daughter was born. How wrong was I to believe that!! My daughter is now nearly 5 and my RLS is worse than ever. After being put on lots of different medications including anti-depressants

Why B1 needs magnesium and potassium
Re magnesium and potassium... You need more than 'normal levels'. From Elliot Overton the nutritionist well known from Youtube. "When you take such high doses of B1, it increases enzymatic activity, increasing the requirment for the other enzymatic cofactors including minerals and B vitamins. Magnesium

Graves ' disease & fluctuating weight
Hi all Apologies if this goes on too long but just wondering if anyone has experienced the same & how they manage it. Got diagnosed with Graves' disease in April this year. I'd experienced what I believe are some of the usual symptoms; raging hunger , anxiety, tired but couldn't sleep, palpitations

So much weight gain, moonface and facial hair
In about 5 weeks I have put 2 stone on (28lbs), I have moo face and I am now getting a lot of facial hair. I was on 60mg of prednisone, and have just lowered to 55mg and next week 50mg until I see my Rheumy again. Is there anything to stop the facial hair? I have read posts in faq about weight gain

My 28 Days Water Only Fasting Experience and IVCs
I think this subject might interest some fellow warriors and some may plan to do it, so here is my experience. Medically supervised water fasting was done in Arizona with intention to reverse or stop progression of cancer and reset microbiome. My PSA doubling time without medication and supplements

Adcal or not
Sorry I'm unable to cut and paste. A recent letter to a doctor in the newspaper asked about having taken Lansoprazole for a problem can cause bones to thin. Recently diagnosed with advanced Osteoporosis she has been prescribed AA and Adcal. The doctor suggests that calcium carbonate would be better changed

Do I need to reduce my NDT or extra T3?
I take NDT (A quarter of a tablet, which is half a grain/130 mg. The split is 7mg of T3 & 19mgs of T4) & extra T3. (25 mcg) In Feb I slightly increased the extra T3, as it was low in the normal range. (Before Feb I was on 19 mcg of T3 & my TSH was 0.1) This is the lowest my T3 has ever been. I was was

Dairy free diet, it has helped stop rls at night
Around 5 months ago I was told I was lactose intolerant and needed to have a complete dairy free diet. I've had rls for many years I just did not know I had it until I started to come off morphine and pregabalin, my doctor said it was rls and it might just be the rehab causing it, however my symptoms

Latest Test results. What to try next.....
I've been on Levo for 12 months. I will be talking to my GP next week who will probably say my results are fine. My main problem is digestive and lower abdominal bloating with constipation a major factor. GP test results(only tests TSH and T4, tested 20th Oct) TSH1.29 range (0.27-4.2) T4 18.1 range

Natural remedies and food supplements
This is mainly a personal view of the usefulness of these for RLS, but is based on some reading. I hope it is a balanced view. Hopefully it offers some guidance for when you're choosing remedies. The 3 main things you should find out about when choosing a remedy. 1) EFFECTIVENESS : does it actually

Which Magnesium
Hi, after a bit of reading I am looking at getting magnesium taurate for what I think are ectopics. Does anyone recommend Biocare Magesium Taurate? Was initially planning to get the Cardiovascular Research one recommended by Dr Gupta but the Amazon reviews put me off. Thanks
