Which Magnesium

Hi, after a bit of reading I am looking at getting magnesium taurate for what I think are ectopics. Does anyone recommend Biocare Magesium Taurate? Was initially planning to get the Cardiovascular Research one recommended by Dr Gupta but the Amazon reviews put me off.

Thanks

I think Biocare are one of the better ones. I use nutriadvanced.co.uk/megamag... which has Potassium and other heart goodies as well as Mg & Taurine which I partner with CoQ10 recommended by my Naturopath.

Just out of interest I recently tested at the bottom end of the normal range for magnesium. My GP phoned me and suggested I eat about 10 nuts daily. Most nuts are suitable he says.

He did offer an Mg supplement but said they also contain substances which help absorb Mg but these sometimes upset the stomach.

Why not get tested yourself and take the decision when you've seen the result.

I use magnesium taurate from biocare and its no trouble. It might help but i am not certain. It might have contributed to me being more or less AF free for 11 years

I take magnesium taurate from bio care and have been in nsr for 5 months, which is a great improvement, I take just one capsule a day with my lunch, they recommend 2 capsules , no digestive problems for me.

I’m taking magnesium taurate from The Ethical Nutrition Company. I found them on Amazon. Not cheap but seem good

I also use the Bio Care one, my ectopics have improved for sure been using it for 6 months, take 2 a day. Not cheap though at around £15 a month from Amazon. If anyone knows anywhere cheaper?

Hi there. Could I ask how many mgs your two tablets equate to since they come in different strengths, please? Thanks

(I take 4 at the moment and they are 125mg each so 500mg). Magnesium works so well for me. And relating to a previous post in this stream, I don't think it matters if your bloods show a 'normal' level of magnesium. My heart isn't 'normal' (at least at the moment), so I need supplements. That's how I see it anyway and many other people who have experimented feel the same. I have my own evidence that I can even curtail an Afib episode by taking two magnesium tablets i.e. 250 mg in total.

I have certainly heard that you can stop an attack by taking two 500 mg tablets of taurine. I have only recently introduced taurine into my protocol so I only take one 500mg pill a day at the moment but I will certainly be trying a combination of magnesium and taurine when (if) I feel another episode starting. I suppose it's useful to say that my episodes last about three and half hours if I do nothing.

I started taking magnesium 'cos of all my cramps/spasms which the consultants told me was 'cos of when you are cut when operated on it affects your muscles & nerves - I still get them but no-one has advised me what else could help. Just glad to be still here!

I bought some magnesium glygonate (sounds right but spelt wrong) and it has brought my heart rate down to a respectable level. I was always around 112 bpm, but now I go between 80-99. So at least in the normal range now.
