Does Milk Thistle or other herbs deplete B12 faster

Hi all,

a bit of strange one here but I would really appreciate some insight on this topic. I have been working with my naturopath for a few years now and am on a very slow detox and am finding now that my EOD B12 injections of 750mcg (max dose before headaches) are not lasting the full two days since having started on a low dose of milk thistle and magnesium Chloride (Topical spray). Could It be simply a mild detox reaction as I find symptoms returning faster such as elevated heart beat, fatigue, anxiety and internal tremors.

Maybe its just coincidental but I do not take any pharma drugs at all and eat well as I am trying to heal my gut and rid my body of heavy metals amongst other things (parasites etc).

Thank you all again for any help you can offer.

Interesting question WorkingProgress

Milk Thistle, as you've said, has anti oxidant properties that protects and detoxifies the liver and is mainly used by herbalists to help clear the body of harmful substances - pesticides, etc.

I'm taking vitamin C, which is also anti oxidant and was dismayed to learn recently that it can also affect B12 - I understand B12 is stored in the liver......

So many things seem to affect B12 - stress, alcohol, over exercising 🤔

Yes. I am kearning all. I have to keep on my healing my gut, liver and remove the stored heavy metaksfrom my body. I shall increase the frequency of B12 to see if that helps duri g this period. It's horrible when you feel you have gone backwards.

Idk about the herbs but mine depletes faster with exercise and stress. I have to inject daily to keep my symptoms at bay.
