RLS & more
I've partly got my RLS under control with a combination of medication (Ropinirole 2mg and pregabalin 25mg + 2 co-dydramal tablets) taken early evening. I also use a magnetic underlay on the bed. Most evening the RLS kicks in between 19.00 and 11.00. And usually ends after 3 to 5 Hours, though occasionally

Pay attention to your nipples! They might be trying to tell you something.
I had noticed for some time that one nipple was dry and scaley, then one day I had a milky discharge - like dried oatmeal! I washed it off, but the next day, my nipple stuck to my bra and it started bleeding. I went to a walk-in clinic, and they gave me a treatment but also told me to make an appointment

Breast Cancer ER/PR+ HER2- Grade3 Stage 3B
I finished chemo in May. Had two unsuccessful lumpectomy surgeries and then a nonskin sparing mastectomy, no reconstruction . Now I’m getting ready for radiation therapy. I am also looking beyond RT and next steps. Any resources or tips?

Post op ., recovery
Now 2 weeks 2 days after the mastectomy And back from a delicious seafood lunch down at the harbour in Shell Bay with family . Coming home there’s a cushion under my arm where the drain was so guess it’s fluid gathered there , so will get someone to check it out . Lots of boats in the harbour today

Good morning everyone . Wishing you all a happy day today. .yesterday the oncologist arranged pre chemo tests then 2 different lots will start over the next 28 weeks . Reading about the immense resilience of you wonderful warriors is very humbling . I know it’s going to be tough , but it’s time I practised

Sodium oxybate, thyroid hormone and sleep
Sodium oxybate (which is the sodium salt of gamma-hydroxybutyric acid) is used as a last resort medicine for sleep problems - under expert guidance only. I have just come across a personal report about the interaction between sodium oxybate and levothyroxine. If anyone is interested, I'll post more

Reconstruction after implant infection.
Hello All I was diagnosed with grade 1 ER pos. and HER2 neg. BC in April 2018. I had surgery in July for a left breast reduction and right breast mastectomy with an implant. The surgeons performed lymph nodes and nipple biopsy to test to see if the cancer had spread and I was relieved to hear that

Ampyra question
I am seeing my neuro on Wednesday and want to ask about Ampyra. Whether due to MS, my mercury poisoning or something else, my walking has been getting steadily worse. Does Ampyra have side effects anyone has experienced? Is it addictive? I am on Ocrevus now, but it has had no effect on my walking

Timing of drugs - update
So all of this worry and concern about timings of our drugs etc, getting mixed up initially (going an hour the other way for my alarm setting!), then fixing it all before I went to sleep.... I realised that I have been taking my middle of the day progynova exactly an hour late every single day since

In need of some rational encouragement, advice, please
Hey there... As I said in an earlier post, I was back at work today and am glad for it. Here's why I'm writing now... My psychiatrist gave me a prescription for Seroquel to help with sleep. I've had pretty bad sleep since July. He set the dosage at 50 to 100mg, but the first dose that I took (last night

New to Health Unlocked
In April 2000 I was diagnosed with breast cancer. I had a mastectomy, chemo, and five years each of Tamoxifen and Femara. Everything was fine until February 2018, when a biopsy of my underarm lymph nodes confirmed the recurrence and spread on the same side as before. I am presently taking Ibrance and
