Hi there , I've been taking 1.5 grains of nature thyroid for about 5 years ... feeling great with not problems , my TSH normally is about 1 , 3 months ago it increased to 6 so I upped my meds ...it's now at nearly 10 ....I feel fine but my hair is fully out ....any ideas why this would happen ?

Have you had a new batch of your NDT, if so is this when you started needing a higher dose?

One bottle of tablets lasts me around 3 months , and I normally buy 2 bottles at a time , I increased the dose with this batch , I have sincestartef a new batch about 10 days ago ....I was wondering if it could be the pills. I live in Spain and my doctor wants me to try levethroxine

There have been a few posts recently about one of the NDT not being the same as previous ones, I'm not sure if it is the same brand as yours. Check out this page on STTM

stopthethyroidmadness.com/a...

and it mentions

NATURETHROID by RLC Labs (formerly Western Research Labs) See Westhroid-P below. UPDATE: RLC stopped production of their NDTs in 2017, stating it was due to updating their machinery. When it started to come back in 2018, an awful lot of patients stated that the “new” Naturethroid caused their symptoms to come back with a vengeance, and labs proved it.

So maybe it is the tablets.

Have you tried the Thai NDT, many people get on very well with it - Thyroid-S and Thiroyd and T.R. - and it's apparently a lot cheaper than the others.
