Raised LDH with PV

I’m still learning here as I was diagnosed 3 months ago. So in August 2018 I was diagnosed with PV at the age of 32 and my recent blood test showed that my LDH was 310. Is this normal with PV?

sorry, i don't know what ldh is? with pv i only checked white count, hct, Hb and platelets

Hi, the normal range for LDH is 250-540. I also have PV and at my last blood test my LDH was 496. So I don't think its anything to worry too much about.

The normal range for LDH in my local lab is 100-250. Other labs report a normal range of 100-190. So you need to interpret your result in the context of what is normal for your lab. LDH and splenomegaly are included as WHO diagnostic criteria for MF but are also routinely monitored for ET and PV .
