Fast heartbeat after triple CABG

I seem to be experiencing a really powerful fast heartbeat, I'm one week on from a triple bypass last

Monday and was sent home Friday. I can't seem to slow it down, my booklet says if it lasts more than 2 hours then see my GP. Is this normal? I'm terrified it's not going to stop? Advice on how to slow down or prevent?

Many thanks

Linda

Call 111 and ask their advice

Thanks ! Yes they got a clinician to ring, they think meds need tweaking so see GP in morning, but if gets worse or get pain in chest, jaw, etc go straight A&E

It's very common to have rhythm and rate issues after surgery

Surgeons will tell you the heart doesn't like to be " fooled around with"

You got all the proper instructions. Hope your night went well. Good luck with your appointment.

Thanks 👍 yes increase in bisporosol and it's settled down. So scarey at the time tho 😱
