Hi folks. I hope everyone is having a great week and getting ready for that well deserved weekend break. I am looking for some advice from you guys. It seems I am now anaemic which is slowly developing following my last venesection in November. My HCT went went down to 36… I felt fine at this level

Hello. I’m new here.
Hello RLS forum. I’m new here. I’m already learning a lot from reading your posts and responses. I could quickly tell that it is mostly women on this forum. It is a kinder and gentler place than the Parkinson’s forum with predominately older men. What a relief! I have anxiety which is greatly worsened

Iron Deficiency Help!
Hi. Back in January I was diagnosed with iron deficiency anaemia and was put on supplements for 3 months, and then to have a follow up blood test a month after finishing the supplements. My ferritin has come up from 5 to 47 (range 30-148) and I was just wondering what sort of response anyone else who

Hydroxycobalamin injections
Hi everyone I’m so new to all this. Had undiagnosed low b12 since my symptoms started a year ago . Went to a private doctor and received an iron infusion and sent home with 3 b12 shots per week. Problem I’m having is after I inject my whole upper torso, chest and ribs become extremely tight it’s hard

17 hour flight
I have been invited to a wedding in Louisiana later this year. My RLS is still problematic but manageable at home with Buprenorphine and Pregabalin and walking around / standing up. I am doubtful about the 17 hours flights. I can't ever remember going that long without several attacks of RLS. I've

well I have told my story pretty well all along, including some family serious illnesses . On iron supplements but my ferritin did not increase
I started having a lot of symptoms of iron deficiency last year after correcting my long term B12 deficiency: dry mouth, palpitations, muscle twitches. It is possible that my iron had been low for a long time and I just didn't notice because my B12 had also been low. I started taking iron supplements

Hot flashes?
Am having ever more hot flashes and sweating around my neck over last several months. Could it be the steroids? In the distant past, was relying on welbutrin for depression but got hot flashes and changed to escatolepram. In the last few years I started taking a small dose of welbutrin in addition

Can you 'demand' Tocilizumab for GCA?
I was diagnosed with PMR in January 23, responded well to steroids (15mg) but quickly developed GCA symptoms (severe headache pain, blurred vision and jaw claudication) when these were reduced to 12.5mg after 3 weeks and 'normal' CRP/ESR tests. I was referred to Ambulatory care but an ultrasound showed

Tocilizumab
Hi. Has anyone had Tocilizumab injections for pmr? I've been looking at recent research which seems to suggest favourable outcomes for pmr sufferers who have problems tapering prednisolone.

Query re. folic acid dosage and related issues
I’m still confused with regard to correct amounts of folic acid and B6 when injecting B12 EOD or ED, assuming it’s for life. Is there a danger of overdosing folic acid or B6 do we know? Also not entirely clear about taking iron if spare folic acid becomes ferritin and is stored as iron. Or if this
