I have been invited to a wedding in Louisiana later this year. My RLS is still problematic but manageable at home with Buprenorphine and Pregabalin and walking around / standing up. I am doubtful about the 17 hours flights. I can't ever remember going that long without several attacks of RLS. I've read the advice from Sue on last post which I will follow. I wonder about medication to cover the flights?

17 hour flight
Oh my - I can't imagine a 17 hour flight and my RLS is under control. Can you break it up into 2 or more segments? As to medicine I would suggest you get some ropinirole. I know you augmented on it but taking some temporarily just for the flight won't get you stuck back on it again.
I used Therapulse and Passion Flower...helped..but from Houston to Sydney I took one 7.5 mg Zopiclone...slept most of the way. Prescription med here in UK...at home I don't take any prescribed drugs for RLS.
I agree with Sue. Just flown to Idaho but made such a difference breaking journey in Chicago.
I flew to Greece last Fall from Denver non-stop. I took 900mg of Gabapentin, my usual dose of Ropinirole of 2mg and an Ambian. I did ok, not perfect, but I would do it again.
Thankyou everyone. Lots to think about. Just had a few bad RLS days . When it settles again i will think it through
I am doing a 14 hour flight from Paris to Lima next month and my plan is to add a 30mg cocodamol tablet to my regular Requip and Lyrica. Also, I am treating myself to the experience of flying business class so as to have extra leg room and more chance to be able to move around.
