H Pylori - Omeprazole - Stomach Acid - Thyroid
I suspect it could be
SIBO
. He also hypothyroidism which is a risk factor for
SIBO
. I also know (from the super helpful people on this forum) about the link between being undertreated for hypothyroidism and low stomach acid. It is likely that he has been undertreated for some years.

Fiber? Or something else?
I thought that once my IBS wasn’t so inflamed and I had
SIBO
treatment, which helped tremendously that I would be able to eat food again that I enjoy. I’m ok not eating garlic and onions, but I have celiac disease and basically live off of rice and corn products.

Herbal protocol for eliminating streptococcus overgrowth in gut?
Hi there, I recently did a stool test with Viome which confirmed that I still have way too many streptococcus bugs in my gut (so I have dysbiosis/possibly
SIBO
). I have done antibiotics in the past to try and balance my gut but any benefit has only been very temporary.

Pancreatic Enzymes
I’ve got
SIBO
and was prescribed Rifaximin by my Gastroenterologist at the beginning of the year which unfortunately didn’t work, and when I saw him last Wednesday he’s going to try me with some more antibiotics, but he asked me to do a sample to check for pancreatic enzymes which I did yesterday and

Sleep aids suggestions when have Sibo symptoms
I'm going to get a
SIBO
test as soon as I can, as have all the symptoms. I'm concerned now, I've gone 4 nights with very little sleep due to symptoms. ( I'm eating low fodmaps and taking charcoal for gas etc) not enough to let me sleep through. How does anyone get to sleep with the symptoms?

Calprotectin Confusion! Can the tests be too sensitive?
We found with a functional doctor that he has
SIBO
(bacteria in small intestines) which was dismissed by the hospital. There is no concerns with him what so ever and living a normal life with no restrictions. Did private results 6 months later which came back at 30 and 26?

Having a Bad Week
Had many tests, colonoscopies,
SIBO
etc. Tried various meds, CBT, hynotherapy, meditation. Taking loperamide helps me to leave the house, but wondering whether others find this stores up the problems for later?

I'm very confused. Please Help with tests results - I would be so grateful - thank you!
As I was writing this, my
SIBO
test just came back as negative. I guess I should be happy. So I have no idea why my abdomen hurts so bad when I bend. Except adhesions from 4 surgeries? Also making it painful to swing my legs forward to walk. 😔But I guess not everything is PA related.

Endo appointment tomorrow - any ideas?
I've had the whole raft of hypo symptoms back again (poor sleep, back ache,
SIBO
relapse etc.) so I feel convinced I'm under-medicated, but I can't understand why my TSH isn't higher as a result.

Thyroid questions + recent bloods
Having done some research I now suspect it is due to low stomach acid, which has possibly even resulted in
SIBO
(he was also on tablets for his stomach while on a long term course of steroids which I think contributed to the problem). He is due to see a gastroenterologist at the end of July.

Fixing gut health
Hmmm just came across this Doc on youtube talking about
SIBO
and other gut health issues. May be worth 25 mins of your time to listen. Pretty controversial. Makes you think 🤔. Here’s the link, https://youtu.be/evAChdidsXg

Vitamin Deficiency/ Pernicious Anaemia : How Common Are They With EDS and What's The Best Treatment for Us ? Please Tell Me Your Experience
I realised that along with my gut dysmotility and recurrent
SIBO
like infections that I was likely to be suffering from regular vitamin deficiency and adapted my diet and began to take supplements on top of a basic vitamin and mineral complex daily ( based on my own research of current studies for EDS

Metroclopramide for SIBO related Scleroderma
I’m waiting at last for a face to face appointment at the Royal Free in May but in the meantime my gp has suggested Metroclopramide for the spasms as it could be gases from the
SIBO
in my oesophagus.

Constipation!
I feel I need a comprehensive stool analysis to see if I have any infections like H-Pylori or
SIBO
I'm really worried about stomach and colon cancer developing if I have a blockage somewhere. Does anyone know of where i can get a stool sample done? Or what else i can do to help myself?
