I have had constant discomfort for nearly 2 years, if i push in around my belly button and below it is always tender, always. I have had all the scans to rule out IBDs etc etc. Does anybody experience constant 24/7 IBS pain. For most people I hear that it comes and goes, no so for me. Also been diagnosed with SIBO. Any clues?

Constant discomfort
My IBS pain is more or less constant at present. Who has diagnosed you with SIBO?
I have had constant pain since 2008, centering around the same area you describe. Doesn't matter what I eat or don't eat, whether I'm constipated or totally emptied out. I think they call it IBS b/c they don't know what it is. I've also had diagnosis of SIBO, and AB dose treatments. I think I had damage done during a gallbladder removal surgery, as that is when it all started. That doesn't explain yours, but I feel your 'pain'. It seems a lot of folks at least get relief sometimes.
I don't think they do good stool testing on most people.. I just watched a you tube video from a woman in Australia, who suffered for 7 years, then had a stool test and turns out she had a microscopic parasite. Took a combo of three meds for a week, which she said was hellish, but afterward - returned to normal! I've never heard of the organism they found, so I don't think it is probably normally tested for.
