Has anyone here had tests for
SIBO
on the NHS? If so can you confirm whether you were diagnosed with
SIBO
? Also what treatment did you receive? Ive been researching
SIBO
to some extent and think this may be causing my IBS like symptoms. Any information you can provide would be really useful.

SIBO and Being Hypo
I found out about
SIBO
through this forum. I am so relieved as it all makes sense. Having been told that "it's IBS from so many doctors and just offering me anti cramping meds, I am nearly 100% sure it's more likely to be
SIBO
. I see a specialist on Thursday, I just hope he has heard of it!!

Hi everyone, I have been struggling with
SIBO
for more than 6 months with constant bloating and high abdominal discomfort. I often feel "sick to my stomach"....Two rounds of xifaxan did little to minimize the symptoms which ultimately all returned.

Cramp and hard muscles
I've got pernicious anaemia in my family, had my large intestine removed, and have
SIBO
so although last B12 was up around 800 mark I think it was a false high due to
SIBO
. So I've been taking high doses of Jarrow B12 5000mcg. 4 or 5 a day.

IBS or SIBO
So I was hoping not to have any more tests, and now to have the breath test for
SIBO
I will need to wait 'til after NY holidays anyway, but wondered whether anyone has similar experiences they could share.

I was told that IBS could really be Sibo. Your Thoughts?
I did the
Sibo
test that measures how much methane and hydrogen your gut is producing that indicates whether it is
sibo
or not. The thing that stresses me out is my gastrologist says it is not
sibo
but my MD thinks it might be. When two docs dont agree I am pulling my hair out of my head.

IBS and SIBO - Looking for an Interviewee!
"The article is looking at
SIBO
in detail, speaking to experts to find out what is known about it, as well as patients who have had it. I really need someone who had IBS-type symptoms and who was eventually found to have
SIBO
, and was successfully treated for this as a result."

SIBO
eventually I stopped taking pre/probiotics and let rifaximin do its magic along with vitamins, minerals and herbs to repair gut and out of the blue IBS is gone every other symptom related
