Did Cortisol Ruin Your Gut?
If the food doesn't move through the small intestine well, you end up with
SIBO
. During sleep the migrating motor complex performs a cleansing process but it can't if you have
SIBO
. This is where bacteria back up and overgrow, hence the term, small intestine bacterial overgrowth.

Anyone able to help me with latest Haematology results ?
She has suggested Small Intestine Bacterial Overgrowth (
SIBO
) as a possible cause and suggested I have a breath test for this. My GP says she is not able to refer me herself as this is not available as primary care. I don't understand exactly what is being said here.

We May All Have SIBO at least according to Michael Ruscio, DC
Even fermented foods which we all thought was good may not be until we know we are rid of
SIBO
. Treatments vary and sometimes an elemental diet is all that's necessary.

More Light Bulb Moments Regarding SIBO
He did have
SIBO
patients who were helped but I think even if you don't have
SIBO
, it's likely you have adhesions but you probably have
SIBO
as well.

SIBO
has only been known for about ten years and though I am no expert it certainly appears to be a major discovery in chronic disease.

Getting optimal on a combination dose
I'm taking one 5000 micrograms of sublingual B12 a week as a maintenance dose, stopped Vit D in April, and eating liver once to twice a week as well as taking a B complex...oh and trying the
SIBO
elimination diet at least for now.

IBS/SIBO/Rifaximin
Also, isn't IBS a result of
SIBO
? I am seriously thinking of going on the antibiotic rifaximin that cures
SIBO
. Has anyone taken it? Wouldn't doing that and taking a probiotic clear up IBS? I used to be able to eat raw onions and garlic and peaches and not have any problems.

Advice on test results & letters to GP from haematology and neurology please
SIBO
was then suggested and a breath test* to diagnose. *[i]Not sure who would do this? Haematologist? Not an NHS test?

H pylori maybe?
I don't think it's
sibo
as I'm not really bloated , so maybe candida and h pylori. I will try and get tested for h pylori, and hopefully I can sort this out. Does this sound logical to you guys?
