SIBO is a type of dysbiosis. Another common one is Candida.
I don't know your situation, but I had Candida for years without knowing it. Once I got rid of Candida, I no longer had the persistent intestinal bloating and gas.
I would really look into this. sickofibs.com/ibs-symptoms/...

Thanks I'll have a look at that
I considered candida but doesn't that normally cause other symptoms as well as in the gut?? xx
It's definitely worth ruling it out. Ask your consultant or gp and they should be able to arrange a test (usually a breath test in hospital - I had it last week!). If the result is positive it IS possible to get rid of but it would mean antibiotics plus supplements and dietary changes - you'd be wise to speak to a nutritional therapist about it as the NHS will likely just throw antibiotics at you. Good luck!
Does anyone know if Sibo symptoms are the same as ibs symptoms
What are the symptoms of Sibo?
