Severe iodine deficiency & Hashimoto's
I also developed
SIBO
and extreme histamine intolerance during this time from my body being so slowed down. On May 1 I was trying to pick up some groceries and felt so horrible that I just started sobbing, right there in the store, because I had ALL I could take of feeling so horrible for so long.

Elemental Diet
Hi folks, my gastroenterologist has suggested the elemental diet as a way to allow my gut to rest and reset and potentially to address stubborn
SIBO
too. This is a purely shake based diet for 2 weeks (no food or alcohol allowed!).

Which antibiotic was prescribed for bacterial overgrowth / dysbiosis / SIBO / IMO and did it have lasting effects?
Hi, I've almost finished my 28 day course of antibiotics (rifaximin) but without a noticeable positive effect on my symptoms till now. There are some alternatives to try (neomycin, augmentin, ciprofloxacin, metronidazole , norfloxacin, etc.) and I am curious which one you have had and if it had lasting

Endo pain? Gastric pain? SIBO?
I read that women with endometriosis often have digestive issues, and often Small Intestine Bacterial Overgrowth (
SIBO
). Has anyone managed to get a test and treatment for
SIBO
?

lung conditions
I have been seen by the specialist team at the Royal Free in London but even they can't seem to answer some of my questions, and the only medication I have taken is antibiotics for
SIBO
, which worked. Is there really no treatment for bronchiectasis?

Bleeding with diarrhea
I was recently treated for
SIBO
sad BAM. Last year I developed gastroperesis and gastritis. I am a mess. I can eat 3 things eith tolerable discomfort. My iron is kinda low too. Doc wants to do a scope in June. She has ruled out a litany of infections and she is thinking it is IBD of some sort.

Fecal Microbiota Transplantation (FMT), Is It A Nearer Term Future Treatment For People Living With Parkinson's Disease?
It is worth mentioning that all of the patients enrolled in this small study also were constipated and had Small intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth or
SIBO
and both of these conditions improved very significantly over the study period.

Anyone else have pelvic pain when needing to go to do a number 2?
I did a
Sibo
test which was positive but I don't really have
sibo
symptoms. One doctor agreed to give me anti biotics, whilst another doesn't think I should go on them, and suggested I have IBS, and to try pro biotics instead! So confused!!! Has anyone else had similar problems?

Hiatal Hernia & Gerd now worse due to SIBO (small intestine bacterial overgrowth)
Took PPIs such as omeprazole for years but then developed
SIBO
(small intestine bacterial overgrowth). PPIs can be a causative item for
SIBO
so I've gone off them.

Reducing Lansoprazole and oesophical spasms
I have been on a ppi for probably 20 years now but have oesteoporosis and
SIBO
now too which can be caused by long term ppi treatment. I wanted to ask if any of you have had any luck reducing your dose of ppi.

Looking for advice and a doctor who understands Hashimoto’s and will prescribe T3/NDT
I take prescribed iron and a range of other supplements and I’ve been working on my gut health over the past year as I had suspected
SIBO
– my symptoms do seem to have improved gut-wise, even though I do sometimes still have IBS symptoms. My issue is I don’t know what to do for the best.
